Is the 'nude heel' still ok? Will it work?

Hello style and beauty gurus.

I have two dresses which I have always struggled to find shoes for and I am wondering if a nude heel would be the answer.

One dress is a brown Karen millen dress which falls just past me knees and is cut on the bias. The only pic I could find was this from eBay.

The other is a red shift dress with cap sleeves and a rose print with pockets from oasis. I can't find a pic online so if necessary I will hunt out a pic of me in it.

I certainly love the red Oasis one and the brown Karen millen could be reloved with the right shoes.

Ideally one pair would do both dresses.

What do you think?

Found the Karen millen dress from another angle. Still not full length though

I don't like nude heels myself and also think they've been done to death, but that's just me.

I'm not a fan of nude shoes either. THe right sort of gold would work with bot, probably.

I think a nude heel would work but am not a fan of cheap nude heels - I have LK Bennett ones which look nice with most stuff and think would go with your dresses above.

What's wrong with nude heels?

Nice dresses OP!

Passmethecrisps · 14/09/2014 13:01

Thanks everyone.

Gold wouldn't work with the one pictured as it has gold threading on the bodice.

Are LK Bennett worth the money?

Confused gold thread on the bodice is another reason why gold would work with the dress.

But, yeah, if you're desperate for nude heels just get some. It really shouldn't matter what others think.

Sorry mrslettuce that was a mistype. I meant silver.

I didn't mean to dismiss anyone's advice it was a mistake

Nude heels (of which I am not a fan. Way too KMid for my liking) wouldn't work with the first dress - they tend to be quite 'daytime' and that Karen Millen dress is not!

Passmethecrisps · 14/09/2014 15:46

Interesting!

The gold heel suggestion, were it not for the silver (get it right, crisp!) would be great.

That dress has always been a nightmare to accessorise.

Maybe a new frock would be easier

Actually agree that nude heels wouldn't be right with the very dressy dress pictured - silver would perhaps .
Re LKB think they are well worth the money - all mine have worn well and looked good. If I did want nude would definitely go for theirs.

PrimalLass · 14/09/2014 15:50

Silver heels then?

Those might work.

Thanks all - I was a bit stuck on nude heels but silver would probably go with the red dress as well.

Nude with silver is a win win.

I like nude heels.

With this dress I would go gold.
