Investing in some decent jeans

About to head to big john Lewis in Bristol in the hope of finding my perfect pair of jeans.

I have never actually paid full price for anything fancy in my life - accepting handmedowns, tk maxx, next, h&m and topshop

Which are the best ones? Would like dark indigo skinnies that will keep their colour and shape + make me look thinner than I am! I'm short and wear size 10 usually, ok legs and bum, fat tummy.

Will be wearing them for work and the odd night out hopefully.

Can anyone offer any pearls or even brands to avoid? Thanks

I love MIH, they are not cheap (£120ish) but I wear jeans a lot, they look good, wash well, keep their shape,
I have had 7 for all mankind, love them, but found they "wore" out over a year.
Perhaps get a size in each brand and see what looks good on you!

Yes, yes to iwant.
I love my MiH, they still look great after a year, my 7's not so much. In fact, I'm quite disappointed with my 7's. They fit great, they just don't look great.

Just been looking online for mih and some are up to £200 Shock

Any recommendations for style? Being drawn towards the high waisted body on ones but not sure? £135 on shopbop

The best time to get premium denim is during the sales. I got some MIH Paris jeans for £43 and some Breathless for £50 (Anthropologie and ASOS).

J Brand in their photo ready fabric. Amazing fit and DO NOT GO BAGGY AT THE KNEES. Miraculous.

Gap do some very good indigo skinnies.

I've had several compliments when wearing mine. They are very slimming, it seems. Smile They are about £45 I think.

Just found a couple of good looking ones on the outnet for £56 and £70 so we'll see how I get on with those!

I am normally a night street girl and get lots from Gap. Just feel that now I'm 33 with a grown up job, I ought to buy myself some posh trews!

I read a couple of recommendations on here for fat face jeans so I bought a couple of pairs. I think they are rather nice! Not sure they measure up to £200 jeans but they were considerably cheaper
