It seems that even quite slim girls have 'em these days.
Back to under-the-armpits trousers would be good for us all I think.

utterly agree moondog.

hipsters suit about 2 per cent of the population, so why are they the only style available (outside good ol' M&S)?

same for tiny T-shirts that barely cover people's belly buttons

Higher waisted trousers are in this season. No more hipsters

CarolinaMoon · 24/09/2006 17:43

does that apply to jeans too NdP?

Am concerned it may only be for wide-legged tweed trews, but would be v glad to hear different...

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 24/09/2006 17:46

They had some of those jeans that go up to the bust in the shows this time around, so it's for all of them but decidedly not for me, would feel like a turkey trussed up for the over..... or Simon Cowell's secret sibling

not so flattering on my shape- slim, but with huge hip bones (size 10 waist, legs, size 14 hips)- make me look very bizarre! dresses work best but not so much in winter, obv. Skirts a wash out unless a line as they gape on my waist
only jeans a I can wear low cut, unfortunately

FrannyandZooey · 24/09/2006 19:11

I think it is mostly wearing low cut jeans that are too tight for you. It isn't that you're necessarily lardy, just that your trews are the wrong size.

foxinsocks · 24/09/2006 19:12

I also think a lot of shirts these days aren't as long as they used to be.

I have quite a long back anyway but I've noticed the last few T-shirts/shirts I've bought have definitely not come as far down my body as they used to.
