some longer length, tummy/bulge hiding tops to wear with jeans. Everything I look at is too fitted, too short and shows my muffin-top off at it's biggest and ugliest!

Can someone give me some links please ... and also, if they are really long, what sort of jacket do I wear now in the autumn?

I'm going shopping tomorrow (with zilch to wear and seeing friends I haven't seen in years) and really want to sort myself out!

Thanks!

I think a short jacket disguises wobbly midriff well.
Also a shirt and/or those sort of rapover tops.
T shirts are the worst. The material is so clingy and unforgiving.

Hadn't thought of a short jacket Moondog - thank you! Something else to look out for tomorrow. Agree re t-shirts - a disaster.

I'm going to get a velvet jacket, think they're great and nice for night out too.

If you're after something casual, I bought one of these yesterday, because I tried it on and was impressed at the fact that it was longer than the average t-shirt - but I'm quite short, so if you're on the tall side, it might not be so long on you. Great price, and a good range of colours.

I bought a brown suede jacket the other day in New Look for £35 (yes, you read that right!)
I love it.

Dorothy Perkins have a good range of longer length tops in atm. I bought a job lot about a fortnight ago.

I bought several tops in Principles last week - that's one of them

Some good ideas, not to mention great bargains, thanks folks. Wish I wasn't so stone broke but if I can pick up a few things I'll be happy!!

Didn't do so well on the tops ... just one mustard coloured long-sleeved t-shirt from Principles - yellow scoop necked top second row down on right . BUT I did get a really nice pair of Inwear jeans - the casual, baggy/boyfriend look - which I'm delighted with. So it's a start.
