Ankle boots for skinny calves - I need ankle boots that are narrow at the top!

I know we’ve got a thread running about knee length boots for skinny legs, but what about ankle boots? I’d love to wear ankle boots with dress and skirts, but a lot of ankle boots are too wide around the top for my skinny calves and look ridiculous. A few companies, like Duo Boots, do long boots with varying calf measurements, but I’ve never seen ankle boots with such an option. Does such a thing exist and/or can anyone recommend a narrow range?

Otherwise I’ll have to resort to padding my legs out with leg warmers – which is ok to a point, but it can get very hot!

when you say ankle boots, do you mean those that come beyond the ankle or are cut off at the foot?

I've just received these Dune ankle boots- not 100% sure if keeping because the sole seems to dig into my foot between my arch and heel ( don't know if it's the slight heel or what) but anyway- they are not baggy around the ankle and could be worn with dresses.

Pink by ankle boots, I mean exactly the sort of boots that you've linked from Dune. They look really nice by the way, just a shame the sole is digging in. I might give those a try if you say they're narrow at the top. I know this sounds really sad, but I often pad out the area just above my ankle bone with tubular bandage - if you buy a black tubi-grip and thick black tights, this often does the trick. Sadly the rest of my body is not skinny though.

Same problem - tried these on today - Mantaray from Debenhams (just happened to pass them) and because they are lower cut I don't think they were too gapey. They didn't have my size though and was trying on one size larger so think they would be ok in proper size.

I have the same problem and have just been browsing for some boots! I fancy the Clarks Yarra black wedge (tried them on last year and they were nice). Boden have some that look nice. But sadly I can't afford two pairs!
