Help me feel less old and frumpy, and find an outfit for a hen night?

I'm going out in London in a few weeks. It's daytime and evening and I need one outfit all through as I'm not staying over. I'm early 30s and about a 14. Lots of the girls going are a little younger and child free...
I would be happy to wear a dress or smart jeans / trousers (not black) and a top. I'll probably be wearing flat dark brown shoes.
Any ideas? What trousers/ jeans would suit big legs do you think?
Budget isn't massive, up to £100 all together would be the top end.

Does it have to be those shoes?

Skinny/peg trousers, pointy flats or brogues or a wedged boot. Silky top, jacket/blazer and some statement jewllery.

I think it's hard to look stylish in brown. I always feel like I might look like a turd.

I agree with the poster who said its hard to look frumpy in black.

Cigarette pants/bistro trousers with a slinky top and a nice blazer? And possibly not with brown shoes?

Just to say I was in Zara the other day and I have never seen them stock so many clothes in the autumn colour scheme. They have at least three blazers in green on their website including a nice dark green one.

Thanks Lucked, I'll take a look.
