Has anybody actually bought any Clarks winter boots yet?

After last years massive National Sugar success (two pairs) I want to buy another pair of Clarks boots for my wardrobe....I have seen threads on here suggesting some styles but what I'm wondering is what people have actually got on their feet now. Specifically people who wear flats and have robust calves

????????

I have the opposite of robust calves and while I'd love some Clarks boots for the comfort and value for money, I know they won't fit.

Going to have to buy some Duo's, instead and I'm not happy about that.

One great thing about Clarks - as I discovered when I lived in the Highlands - is that you can order anything you like to be sent to a store nearest you, then go try them all on. I think you can also order and return, but that's too much of a faff and you do have to pay for all the boots you've ordered, first.

lordnoobson · 09/09/2014 22:07

Yes. The Chelsea boots

lordnoobson · 09/09/2014 22:07

Agree wrt clarks only catering for fat legs

mrsmaturin · 09/09/2014 22:24

Based on last year I reckon I can get away with their mid calf or ankle boots. Knee high - not a hope calfwise.
Alas I definitely don't need Chelsea boots. Do you like them though? Comfy?

I bought these off a shop on ebay this week. Clarks Majorca Villa. I have them in grey already.

Nooooo I'm still in sandals and had a bbq earlier!Grin

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 09/09/2014 22:28

My calves are sturdy and I've yet to find a pair of calf height boots in Clarks that are big enough for them. I'm still in flip flops though.

mrsmaturin · 09/09/2014 22:34

I like those Milly. So far I think the Orinocco ones here are the best prospect.....

The ones I posted are big on the calves. Im a 16 inch and they still have bags of room left.

Oldraver · 10/09/2014 00:25

I have 16" calves and the National Sugar fit well. I did have to get the wide fitting as I find Clarks very narrow.

I also got a longer pair of black boots from Joe Browns

SunshineOutdoors · 10/09/2014 02:53

I love my Neeve Ella but I think they're a past season's style.

ocelot41 · 10/09/2014 06:39

I have got thesewww.clarks.co.uk/p/20356859?cm_mmc=Google--Product-Listing-Ads--PLA-_-la&kpid=20356859

Loving them!

Housesoftheholy · 10/09/2014 06:47

I bought the Orinoco club ones in dusky brown they were gorgeous. I had to return them unfortunately as even in the wide fit they were just too narrow across the widest part of my foot. If it had to of been for that they would have been very comfy. My feet are just wrong for clarks shoes I think having tried a few.

meringue33 · 10/09/2014 06:48

Yes. Bought the burgundy ones with elastic sides. They are beautiful.

mrsmaturin · 10/09/2014 07:31

I like the sash ones but they're a bit too casual for work.

I think I will also look at the Maymie Skye ones

I love Clark's boots but always try on, pick my style and wait for the 20% off codes. I fancy some in tan this year. Will look this week in town

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 10/09/2014 08:15

Yes, narrow in the foot is another problem for me, as well as sturdy calves I have very wide feet. I will be off to town to look at them all soon though, every year I go back in hope and every year (so far) nothing fits.

vanillagorilla · 10/09/2014 08:25

Think I might have to pop to Clarks later on today....

PinkSparklyElephant · 10/09/2014 09:03

I have these Maymie Stellar and the standard fit is fine for me.

I have returned these Nessa Clare as I didn't like the elastic panel at the back and they were baggy around my ankles.

I am waiting for these to arrive Orinoco Eave and I really, really want them to fit!

pinkfrocks · 10/09/2014 09:16

Yes- but I'm the other way- have skinny calves.
Bought Orinoco Jive in black- look much nicer in RL than on web.
They are going to be my running around boots- have some Chelsea boots from Dune too and 2 pairs of knee length from DUO.

There is still a 20% code around that should work- BST 14

leedy · 10/09/2014 10:39

Yup, got these, which are pretty much the same as a pair I got two years ago. V handy for wet walks to work:

Those look very useful Leedy.

As far as I can see sadly that code won't work pinkfrocks :(
