What will you wear on your feet for Autumn/Winter?

I've been living in flip flops for the last 3 months, and don't seem to have any wearable shoes/boots for cooler weather. On a tight budget but need fairly hardwearing and comfortable shoes as I do around 5 miles of school runs a day, but still want to be vaguely stylish. Any recommendations?

I'm going to go and actually look at Fitflop boots (the bikers and the knee high ones). I love the longer length mukluks, but they haven't done them in the last coupe of years.l

I have fitflop and ugg converse style shoes, I also like the look of new balance trainers then I'll be into boots for winter.

I just bought these www.clarks.co.uk/p/26103937 and they Are so comfortable and hopefully stylish, well I love them anyway

I am trying to avoid buying any more new shoes/boots (can easily avoid shoes but may well be tempted by boots!), so (ignoring work high heels) I have got:

black suede flats for dry Autumn days
leopard print flats - ditto
denim blue Converse - ditto
tan leather Converse
black heeled ankle boots
flat flat biker-esque boots
tan heeled slughtly Cowboy-esque boots
tan Chelsea boots
brown knee high boots
black knee high boots

That sounds like more than I was expecting it to!

I really want a pair of Liberty Nike trainers if they do a new range in October as well.

Dark purple Massimo Dutti suede ankle boots (hardly worn, bit scared of them really because last time I wore them, I skidded at high speed across the bakery floor, and I'm abroad now so can't even comfort myself with a yum yum)

After all the kerfuffle getting nice sandals for summer '14, I'll be quite sad to put my finds away :( but I can't wait for cold weather clothes! Even being able to wear skinnies outside without melting will be fab.

I'd like some black flats but havnt seen any I like.

- white lace up Vans - Stories ankle boots with a bit of a platform as am short and fat - bright orange flats

and, default choice for trotting round the locality, Uggs.

What can I wear to replace my Converse ?
Too cold for them now and not good for rain .

I like leggings and those M&S jeggings . Not keen on long boots (they're a pain to drive in)

If I'm trying to dress nice ( it does happen sometimes) so the Converse are a bit low key.
