Is there anywhere other than Duo for wide calf boots?

I need a new pair of knee high boots this winter and usually buy from Duo but there boots are so expensive and I was wondering if there was anywhere else that does them? I've tried Evans before but I found the ankles really baggy on them and they looked like wellies....

Clarks have some decent wide calf boots.

I have these - Maymie Stellar (the standard width fitted me which is a first!) and I've also ordered these - Orinoco Eave

Have you seen today's groupon? There are 'two zip' boots on there which claim to be suitable for wider calves as they are adjustable? I haven't looked at them in detail though.

I use to need Duo boots for my wide calves -- 41cm; but today I went boot shopping at Dune, Clarks, Jones the Bootmaker & M&S an almost all of the knee length boots fit my calves.

Evans

How wide sweet

I'm a 43 Blush and have paid a lot of money in the past from Duo and Gabor. Last year George at Asda had leather riding boots in dark brown and black which fitted perfectly. I wore them all winter.

I think this is them here

I bought those Asda boots last year. I wore them constantly and they are still as good as new. I have " curvaceous" calves, and these fitted perfectly.
A friend of mine got something similar from Sainsburys.

mirpuppet, what size are your feet though? Surely the calfs will get wider the bigger the foot? If you are a size 4, yippee, I will get thee down to those shops!

I'm a size 7.

Truly my calves use to be a problem now I can get into most tall boots. So even if you are a size 4 I would try the mainstream stores.

Last year the knee high boots at Sainsbury fit me; I'm sure the ones at ASDA would too.

Some of the styles in Russell and Bromley for this Autumn have very wide legs.

I've just bought some Skechers suede boots that lace all the way up the front - great for slim ankles topped by chunky calves.
