I'd love someone to help me look for a dress.

I am short and size 18. I'd love a black dress for my upcoming 40th birthday. Budget around £100.

I've spent the morning looking but not having much success. I've found lots that meet most of my requirements but nothing that I totally love.

It needs to be quite short or otherwise I look frumpy. A good length for me is something that looks practically indecent on a model Grin I'm 5'2.

Lower necklines are more flattering on me.

I'd ideally like a sleeve but it isn't an absolute requirement.

this link has a few recently viewed items towards the bottom to give an idea of what I've been looking at

If anyone has some time to spare I'd love to see some suggestions.

Thanks.

Legs quite good all things considered, arms not too bad from middle of upper arm down, love 3/4 length sleeves.

Was about to post that you need tethers - found me a perfect dress in one go from a very vague waffly description of my likes / dislikes the other day - but she is already here so you should be sorted soon Smile

kahori · 07/09/2014 14:10

Thanks for all the replies!

I had a quick try on of things I already own and fear I may have led you astray with my links. The things that are most flattering on me are definitely ones with a bit of waist definition.

I am basically a weeble an although I always gravitate to the shapeless, flowy look I think they probably make me look huge.

This is more structured

kahori · 07/09/2014 14:19

Love the Jaeger and the Tory Burch one. The TB one is sadly over budget but will consider the Jaeger.

Thanks to noddyholder for the suggestion of Violeta. I really like this
