Where can I buy the cheapest boys suit possible (being worn as costume for one day only)?

As mentioned, it's for a costume (for my dd, 11 years). Where I live, there isn't much call for suits for small boys. Nor is there a thriving charity shop scene. And suits aren't sold in cheap and cheerful shops here.

Any ideas pls? Preferably on-line?

try ebay or gumtree?

I suggest you do a separate search for jacket or blazer and trousers, rather than for a suit - it won't matter if they don't match exactly, from what you say.

Thank you! I have been searching the equivalent of Gumtree over here but haven't had much luck! People are asking for 200 Euros!! Shock

Good idea about searching for separates though!

M&S had a lot on the sale rail yesterday, I noticed. It looked like the tail end of the sale so are perhaps reduced a lot by a huge amount by now.

Would a school blazer and trousers do? You might be able to borrow those more easily.

What is the show?

I've picked up dance costume suits cheaply from ebay but they have been in the dance/theatre wear section not normal clothes.

Some plain black & some pin striped. The trousers are elasticated & very thin material (so they adapt & arnt hot under stage lights). The brand is often IDS

It's for a school history project - dd does dance - but not in this instance! She is dressing up as a famous historical figure and has chosen Winston Churchill. I just thought that a three-piece suit would be such a pain to have to make - (and she doesn't have normal trousers - just leggings and jeans) that it would be easier to buy a very cheap second hand suit - with an emphasis on the cheap!
