i have searched the S&B achives....
i am 42.
i have combination skin verging on oily.
i have used estee lauder double wear for a long time but recently ive noticed its starting to look a bit heavy and sit in any lines....(i have young looking skin but starting to get a few crows feet)
i need something of similar coverage - my skin has some redness in it and i found estee lauder double wear in bone really evened my skin tone and took away the redness.....
i could still use that easily but sometimes i think it looks a bit "cakey" . i like full coverage but for it not to be really obvious.
i liked the sallow colour of the EL "bone" which really covered my red cheeks.....
what else can i use thats a little less dry? but which gives good coverage and with a good range of shades?

im shopping on Saturday.

thank you. !

I have combination to oily skin (t-zone), after years of trying many many different ones i've finally settled on Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24h.

It doesn't wear off after a couple of hours like most others did. It's not heavy looking but really evens everything out. Plus the shade range is one of the best I've seen and being really pale and cool I've looked at them all.

I've found Lancôme counters to be really generous with their samples if you ask. I was undecided between two shades so they filled two teeny bottles up for me. So you can always ask for some to try out if you're not sure.

Oh and if you don't have one already, have a look at the real techniques stippling brushes. They make any foundation look amazing.

Woah. Huge reply! Sorry Blush

or you could try the stippling brush ^ with your EL double wear to see if it goes on less 'heavy'.

With oily skin have you tried mineral makeup? They do vary greatly but the Urban Decay one is fab. Just makes you look like you have amazing skin

You might want to consider Revlon color stay for oily skin as well

Definitely try Revlon colourstay or order the whipped creme version from Ebay if you're in UK. Personally I love it and have the same redness issues you do.
