OK, I am sitting here with my cheapy footner socks (from Singapore) on. What do I do next?

The packaging was entirely in chinese (or something) I just recognised the diagram. From What I have gleaned from other threads, I should keep them on for about 2 hours? (They are tingling away at the moment.)

I didn't know about pre-soaking my feet - in water?
Should I soak them tonight, or another night?

I am guessing I shouldn't be moisturising them - had been using flexitol on my hooves heels.

I had those. Keep them on for two hours. I didn't presoak my feet, just had clean dry feet. Obviously you rinse your feet when you take them off, but I wouldn't soak tonight, just rinse and dry. I would soak in a couple of days. Definitely do not moisturise.

It took eight days for something to happen (goaty old feet), but then it was quite dramatic.

SquidgyMummy · 04/09/2014 17:17

hi lambzig - yes i bought them on your recommendation - about a tenner for 5 pairs.
Did your skin come off in sheets?

Lambzig · 04/09/2014 18:32

Oh no, it will be my fault if they don't work for you. The footner ones didn't do much for me (left on for an hour) these were better.

The 'softer skin' on the sole and toes came off like sunburned skin, kind of peeling. The hard bits on the edge of heels came off afterwards in chunks. Very gross, but very satisfying.

I must get some more, but still wearing sandals at the moment.

Hope it works, fingers crossed.

Eatingtodeath · 04/09/2014 18:34

Ooh can we have a link ?

SquidgyMummy · 04/09/2014 19:25

These are what i bought. Ordered 23rd August and they arrived today, so pretty quick.

Well I took them off after 1.5 hours.
I was slightly concerned that they had sent me the whitening option ones as the tan on my feet had faded and also my toenail varnish has come off (so it is strong!) However my feet look smoother already; it seems to have taken off the top layer of dry skin.

I am however looking forward to the "satisfying peeling and chunks" stage. Wink

Hope I don't leave a trail of dead skin in my pilates class

Are your feet looking dry or scaly at all?

Mine took 9 or 10 days I think to start. I had given up. Just wait a while longer.

hellsbellsmelons · 11/09/2014 13:14

When I used a similar product it worked really quickly and I only put them on for just over an hour.

Have you been soaking your feet in the evenings a while in hot soapy water.
That really does the trick for me.

I got this one HERE. I have it to do again soon. Just waiting for blistered skin to recover a bit more.

SquidgyMummy · 11/09/2014 14:24

Feet are just starting to crack a little on the tips of my toes and heels - at the moment they looks worse than they did before I started!
I guess lambzig going by your timescale, I should get some peeling starting this weekend.

I did have a soak in the bath last night, but not a lot happened afterwards... Will try feet in a bowl of water tonight. I am still trying not to moisturise

Please do let us know how you get on.

I might purchase although it is about to be winter

waithorse · 13/09/2014 21:08

Anything happening ?

SquidgyMummy · 14/09/2014 20:31

9 days later, no peeling whatsoever; my feet just look dry, cracked and scaly worse than before
In desperation, I am sitting here with another set on, as I need to get rid of the dead skin. (A few days ago, I tried soaking them and scrubbing with a pumice stone i thought it was supposed to be quick and easy )
Anyway, this is the only review I was able to find (on Amazon, although I bought them from eBay.) I would however agree with that review.

Oh dear, that's a bit disappointing. Sad

Lambzig · 15/09/2014 14:20

Oh no, it worked for me. Maybe because you only did an hour and a half maybe. Very sorry my recommendation didn't work for you though, it honestly did for me.

Lambzig · 22/09/2014 09:29

Ok I have bought another one and did it last night for test purposes. I haven't done one since May and through the summer have occasionally used a foot file, but they are a bit grim again now.

Before I used it I gave my feet a very quick sanding down on particularly grim hard bits on my heels and side of big toe. I then soaked them in DD's bathwater for five minutes (after she had got out of course). I left it on for two hours and five minutes.

Today the skin on my feet feels very dry and tight and slightly numb. I will report any further progress.

Someone translated them somewhere, I think the key thing is 2 hours.

SquidgyMummy · 29/09/2014 19:05

These did work (eventually) I spent and hour in the bath the night before my birthday manically scrubbing off clumps of skin.

It took about 3 weeks in all, and now my feet do look quite good.
(I was surreptitiously eying people's feet in my pilates class, and mine are nice and smooth.)

I would actually use these again, as an accelerating agent and be prepared with some decent foot graters & buffers to help the dead skin on its way.

I do wear sandals or flip flops for at least 6 months of the year and as this was the first time I had ever peeled my feet, I guess there was a lot to get off - i would say about 3 layers in the end.

Also, a decent foot cream - flexitol - has helped,

Will try again in about February!

I am eight days in with no results other than scaly troll feet so far.

SquidgyMummy · 29/09/2014 22:21

don't worry - I had leper feet I'm amazed I still have 10 toes
