Where do 30 year olds buy pants?

Just went into La Senza, my 20s year old self stalwart. Haven't been in for a while as was in Bridget Jones for some time after birth of DS1. What a shock. Clearly am ten years too old for seriously tiny knickers. In day glo. And diamanté. So tried M&S. But neither require high waisted.
Where does an average 30 year old, looking for French knickery, decent coverage of bum, not too high cut so don't always have to worry about bikini line, but relatively easy on the eye for DP get pants from?

I love the 'Brazilian' style knicker. Not too teeny but also not belly warmers, an example. Most supermarkets also sell them in packs if you want to buy at value.

victoryinthekitchen · 31/08/2014 20:22

I picked up 3 pairs of black / floral lacey shorts in Asda yesterday, a bit more high waisted so more flattering and I think they were 3 for £6.

Triumph amourette have a couple of styles I like and they have several new colours every season. And basic colours all the time.

M&s brazilian

Comfort of big pants, but much better looking on the bottom!

ShoeWhore · 31/08/2014 23:45

Definitely M&S Brazilian.

suze28 · 31/08/2014 23:54

Primark Brazilian are identical to M&S Brazilian knickers and only £2 a pair. I have from both stores and the Primark are just as good.

Littleoaktree · 01/09/2014 00:05

I find debenhams usually have a few reasonable styles (along with both extremes you describe Grin)

catsofa · 01/09/2014 00:10

Plain ones from Tescos or wherever, posh ones from ebay.

yazzy85 · 01/09/2014 13:38

I second Debenhams, much better cut than la senza I find and quality wise last longer too

leedy · 01/09/2014 13:50

Are brazilians the ones that bare the lower half of your arse cheeks like Kylie's hot pants? In which case DEAR GOD NO. Horrendously uncomfortable, at least on me, and definitely not meeting the OP's "coverage of bum" criterion.

I am still pining for Gap's knickers back when they didn't fall apart after a couple of washes and M&S's old boyshorts, which were LOVELY. Will investigate Debenhams.

Victoria secrets 5 pairs £20 and so comfy loads of different style

thestylethatdecadesforgot · 01/09/2014 19:18

Try intimissimi. They do nice coloured every day knickers on promo 3 for £something. And they have nice fancier knickers in decent cuts. They still have some in the sale online for £5.

Ninjabread · 01/09/2014 19:50

Sainsburys

Saurus72 · 01/09/2014 20:42

Rosie for Autograph silk midi knickers. Lovely, a bit spendy though, £12.50 each.

MrsDavidBowie · 01/09/2014 20:45

Can you get French knickers any more? Wore them in the eighties ...

kelper · 01/09/2014 20:50

I can't wait to lose my unwanted 3st so I can buy knickers in Victoria's Secret!
Although I'm probably not the best to ask at the mo because all my underwear comes from sainsburys!

Swimmingwithsharks · 01/09/2014 21:37

Calvin Klein, small, stretchy and extremely comfortable, and cute designs and range of fabrics at Top Shop.

Azquilith · 02/09/2014 19:40

Hm thank you ladies some good suggestions here. Had dreadful moment today when DP treated me to anniversary massage at posh place, they have me paper knickers to put on and couldn't work out which way round they went...assumed bigger bit at back to cover arse but bit at front was a bit narrow and resulted in foliage either side. Eventually switched them over. Therapist didn't say anything at least. Clearly have no idea about pants.

M&S low rise lace top bikini knickers.

sleepdodger · 03/09/2014 21:27

Gap

Agent provocateur very very very rarely at the end of the sale!
