If you were to only take one supplement, what would it be?

I'm thinking cod liver oil, that's good for everything, isn't it?

Thinking the wrinkles and dull skin need some additional help from inside. I drink tonnes of water and am trying hard to eat very healthily.

I can't really take more than one as I get terrible migraines and I get paranoid about loading my system with too much. I used to take a 'well woman' one and my migraines were much worse whilst taking them.

Thanks.

I have low thyroid so it has to be three, no, five! - iron (with vitamin C for absorption), Vitamin D (with folic acid for absorption) and B12. People with underactive thyroids are usually low in all of these.

But for skin, I would take hydrolyzed collagen. You can buy it from H&B, it's expensive though so I only buy it during their penny sale. I could see definite results while taking 6 a day. But they are big tablets, and I almost choked on one once (not an uncommon issue from reading the reviews!) so I cut them in half now.

I saw a dietician privately at hospital and she said there were 2 that she recommended for people - a good mult vit & mineral and an omega fish oil daily not cod liver

Vitamin D

Not specifically for skin, but deficiency can cause all sorts of problems and if we arent feeling our best our skin wont look good either.

Vitamin D, unless you are not living in England and living somewhere sunny, in which case, Omega 3's.

For women I'd say calcium, along with vit D and a good omega 3 fish oil for everyone. So that's actually three for women, but I really do think they're all essential.

Personally I take a real cocktail including magnesium (for my insomnia, has worked wonders), B6 & B12, vit E, high strength EPO, calcium & D3, and a multi vit. I rattle!

SoonToBeSix · 26/08/2014 15:03

Definitely vitamin D.

squoosh · 26/08/2014 15:16

Yep, Vitamin D for me too.

Kicks my psoriasis' arse.

ZaraW · 26/08/2014 15:50

Vitamin D3 2,000 iu a day.

AnathemaIsANiceNameForAGirl · 26/08/2014 16:29

D3

WaxyBean · 26/08/2014 17:51

A good multivit with iron and D3 and a good quality omega 3 oil. I know you don't want lots of different things but I've recently started taking these and I look and feel much better in just a few weeks.

noddyholder · 26/08/2014 17:54

High strength fish oil

lurkingaround · 26/08/2014 18:20

D3.

Without doubt it would be Agnus Castus. Life would be hell without it.
