I have ordered an ETI turbo hairdryer because I can't afford a parlux

Please can someone come and tell me that they're great? My sister has had two Parlux's and then an ETI and said she found the ETI far better.

Am I deluded? Am I destined to spend every morning drying my hair but inwardly weeping at the ansence of a Parlux? Grin

As well as getting the hairdryer I watched a lot of youtube about proper drying technique. To get smooth hair I have to dry in sections with a big barrel brush and the flat nozzle. If I just waved it around, it would just dry my hair into a haystack twice as fast.

I think to put more body in, it's as much about technique and products as the hairdryer. Watch the hairdresser's technique.

ooh, it arrived and it is fabulous.

This morning is the first time I have got to use it. I dried my hair in half the time it normally takes, and it is so smooth and shiney. And it is lighter and smaller than my old hairdryer too, so easier to work with.

Wish I'd bought one ages ago!

I am always singing the praises of ETI. I have had mine for 10 years and its immaculate. Has been dropped several times, bounced down the stairs and still works perfectly.
I can barely contain my frustration if I have to use a different one, they are all so weedy!

treaclesoda · 03/09/2014 10:46

I think that's the same one I've got wibble.

sorry, mswibble, I should address you correctly!

Glad you're happy with it treaclesoda, and the baby pink is such a fab choice!
With all this hooha about the EU restricting superduper hairdryers in thd next few years, im pondering getting another one to keep on standby for when the current one dies - if it ever does!

I have very thick frizzy hair. I have just invested in an ETI dryer and l love it. I don't even need to use straighteners after it. I wish I had bought one years ago, rather than putting up with 30 years of having really shit hair!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/09/2014 16:56

Elslil-I feel the same about parlux, the YEARS I wastedSad Grin

My ETI 3500 arrived last week and it's fantastic! I didn't realise a decent hairdryer could make so much difference!! Vowing never to use straighteners again and I won't need to with this! Love love love it.

Ooh, mswibble and treaclesoda I ordered that one at the weekend, in powder blue. Can't wait for it to arrive now. Grin

just to update, I bought the parlux 3200 from Amazon because of the reputation of Parlux as being the best and this one is supposed to be lightweight and great..sadly I was disappointed it wasn't quite as fast as I expected it to be!! I heard of ETI on here from you lovely ladies so thought I should try an ETI alternative and I bought the ETI Micro Stratus 3600, it blows the Parlux away literally, its sooo good, super fast and powerful...the eti is 2400 watts whereas the parlux is 1900...this new dryer makes a huge difference on my coarse thick wavy hair...very happy :)

shayla1978 · 18/11/2015 16:00

Has anyone used the ETI 3600 Microstratos?
