Leggings that will hold me in a bit

I'm on the hunt for nice thickish leggings that are high on the waist and are forgiving, maybe even hold in the flab a bit. I'm far from huge (size 10-12) and am 5ft 11. I know leggings can be frowned upon on mumsnet but I'm a TA and need something practical and comfy to wear day to day in work.

I recently bought high waisted leggings/jeggings for £12.99 in h&m.

They give a lovely streamlined shape. Can't link at the moment as on my phone.

The mint velvet ones are great but didn't wash well.

I got a pair from Henry Holland at Debenhams last year and they are fab. Really thick and hold in all the right places. Don't know your chances of getting them now but might be worth having a look at his stuff on the off chance there's something similar.

Next! I have been wearing them for years. They have got a bit thinner but they make your legs look great!!

Definitely Next, the ones with the run down the side. I call them my corset trousers!

TK Maxx sometimes have Spanx leggings which are wonderful and make me feel like I have the body of a movie star. But they are definitely more like footless tights and not to be worn as trousers!

Sainsburys do a nice pair of leggings with a thick waistband (sits on your waist too). I think they're called 'luxury leggings' and cost about £10.

Maiden form ones. They sell them in costco but if not ebay usually comes up trumps. I really rate the Biden and the m&s £10 ones but they aren't shape wear. The maiden form ones are.

American apparel. They have a super thick waist band that folds down.

Definitely try Sainos. They have 25% off at the moment too.
Make sure you get the ones that are one to a pack, not the double pack ones.
They really are great, and they do different leg lengths too. The sizes come up big so you might be best going for a size 8.

Which Next ones are they? Is it the ponte knit?

The Next Wow leggings are the best- they really do hold in all the wobbly bits and don't lose their shape at all.

It sounds like you've found some good ones, but just wanted to say these might suit you, they are really long on me at 5'4 so could be good. I know there is a slightly dodgy review but mine show no signs of coming apart yet!
