Please help me find decent jeans for the round of arse.

I need help finding a decent pair of jeans. I literally live in leggings and dresses at the moment and it's doing my head in. Jeans are one of those things where I think I've found a decent pair then I end up hating them after one wear. I need to find my holy grail pair!

I am between a size 16-18 and have a smaller waist than my legs/arse so I always struggle finding trousers which fit my legs but aren't huge round my waist.

I like a slim fit but not skinny jeans as they always look tight and awful on my legs. Also like a high waist to hold my stomach in, but only the kind where they are more structured at the waist band and have a few buttons down the front if that makes sense (I find the kind with just one button at the top just accentuate my pouchy overhang). I'm not keen on those ones which are made from that horrible thin material that isn't really proper denim as I find they go baggy and weird after a few hours wear. I'm looking for a dark colour.

My last pair were from Next in the sale. I think they were boyfriend fit slim/skinny jeans or something along those lines. They are tight around my knees/legs but massive around the waist. They are a good material though which is a shame. Another pair I bought a few months ago were from DP and are exactly as I've described above with the high waist with one button at the top, and a thin weird material.

I know it's a lot of requirements, but can anyone point me in the right direction? I can pay up to around £40. I think it may be impossible Sad also open to any other casual trouser suggestions.

Levi's bold curve are the best I've found. I am terminally pear shaped and wear the boot cut skinnies. They are more than £40 though.

Thank you. I've just a had a look on the website and they are very nice and good reviews. I may go and try some on and see what they are like. I wouldn't mind paying that much for the perfect pair! There's a Levi's outlet close to where I live too so will also try there.

Will they actually go up to my size though? It's all proper measurements on their website and I can't find my tape measure! I don't want to be laughed out of there Grin

Yup, I like Levis Curve iD. I too am 'bold curve' - am generous of arse and thigh.

Try TK Maxx - they often have some in - ok not the latest washes but I'd not recognise them anyway. And for £16.99 my arse is happy.

FelixFelix · 20/08/2014 14:06

Brilliant, I will definitely look in TK Maxx. Any excuse to rummage around my favourite shop Grin

I am a 14/16 on the bottom and wear a 32 waist in Levi's bold curve

I absolutely love Lucky Brand but buy them in America as they are £££
Right now I'm wearing some brilliant £19.50 M&S stretch black ones which hold me in everywhere. They are straight leg so not too narrow. Have washed well, I also have them in navy. I consider them a brilliant bargain and they haven't bagged or sagged anywhere.
Will supply link

Here they are. AM amazed they call them trousers as they look and feel like jeans and were in te jeans section of
My local store. Anyway, they are very flattering and good for the problem of big hips/small waist
