Where can I buy shoes to wear to a wedding?

I am doing a reading, I am looking for purple or lilac, with a round or peep toe. I don't want towering heels, or pointy toes.

I did have another thread a little while ago, looking for flats, but it seems impossible! A mid-heel will be fine, just not skyscrapers.

I can't find anything, I think I will just wear my wellies ;)

I have tried:

debenhams,
asos
m&s
House of Fraser
John Lewis
bhs
new look
brantano
matalan
next
sainsburys
l k bennet
clarks
hush puppies

and probably a few others!

I can budget up to about £50.

Amazon?
There are others just put purple courts in the search box.

Very, size 7, £4!!

CeliaBowen · 19/08/2014 18:05

Oh yes, size-wise, I am a 5 or 5.5, which seems to be the most popular size and all sold out most quickly.

I actually did find some shoes I liked in Brantano, but they were the last ones in my size and some wally had stuck the security tag through the side of the satin shoe and it made a great big black hole when they took it out at the counter so I had to leave them!

The links below are totally flat, I can't cope with shoes that flat but I know some people can so just in case you're one of them -

Thanks temporary but all of those are out of stock in a 5 or 5.5!

A bit of a heel is ok.

My dress is 50s style, with a full circle-skirt.

Oh, sorry - I missed the update on your size. It is also my size so I know how popular it is.

CeliaBowen · 19/08/2014 18:31

I know :(

Ohhh watching this with interest!!!I'm getting married in 8 weeks and have no shoes! I am wearing purple so would prefer shoes to match. I bought some lovely flats for my bridesmaids but they didn't have enough in the size I needed so I couldn't get any for myself and the bridesmaid with the same size feet. I may have to go barefoot (which actually would suit me fine) but I don't think that will be okay for the reception when I will be changing. plus photos are going to be outside and I don't fancy the soggy ground of a Scottish Highland October Grin

thatlightbulb I don't know what your style is but have you looked at RubyShoo? They have some beautiful shoes. I wish they had been around when I got married!

Sadly, they are not quite right for what I am after this time.

I do like those ballerinas, temporary

Isme, lilac, 5

Have you tried French Sole?

BikeRunSki · 19/08/2014 19:29

irregular choice

ThatLightbulbMoment · 19/08/2014 21:14

I will have a look thanks. Tbh I don't have a "style" of shoe as such, I live in barefeet or skate shoes and own one single pair of ballet flats which are a bit punky I don't do hells heels Grin
