find me the perfect graduation dress?

The dress that I am head over heels for is sold out and can't get before my ceremony next month. It is the coco fennell bee collar dress.

I need something else but am struggling to find anything I like. I saw a dorothy perkins dress in a magazine that was a plain black capped sleeve top with a feather skirt that I liked but it seemingly does now not exist.

I am 26, petite at 5 ft 2 and a size 8 with small boobs. I like vintage looking shapes and something a bit different.

Hate florals, anything fussy colour wise or chinzy girliness.

Things I could do apart from black are neons, metallics and animal prints.

Can you help me find something I love?

Happy to buy second hand if you know of anything going too.

Needs to be available to purchase online as I have v limited time to go shop due to 3yr old and I am a lone parent.

Budget of around £100 or under but could stretch for the right outfit. Ideally a dress but also a wow skirt could do I suppose.

You might like this skirt

justjuanmorebeer · 17/08/2014 16:15

I like it but it is a bit short for me. I'd need it knee length in that I reckon. Thanks though. Will look at outnet a bit more.

Would you not consider wearing one of her other dresses? She has a very similar dress, apart from the collar decoration which is pills instead of bees, or other dresses which are also in the same style?

HOF
Zara
Reiss

justjuanmorebeer · 17/08/2014 16:30

I do like the pill one yes, it is an option. I just adore bees so had my heart set on it

I like the zara one Jimmy but not sure it is spesh enough I have stuff like that already hmm unless maybe I buy a new bag and shoes instead of course and wear a dress I already own...

i would do plain black tbh

justjuanmorebeer · 17/08/2014 16:55

Do you think so? I always wear black anyway so maybe I should just invest in a bag or jewels instead to mark the occasion?

You could do that.
Here are some other suggestions if you fancy black
Oasis
Reiss
Or metallic
Miss Selfridge
Or how about navy?
Whistles

justjuanmorebeer · 17/08/2014 17:12

Well done jimmy good price on both the kaliko and the miss S one! I like them both.

I don't do navy as I was put off by my school uniform however my robe will be navy so it would look nice...but then I'd never wear again.

I know what you mean about school uniform colours I am the same!

SilentBob · 17/08/2014 17:25

Feather Hem and an absolute steal at £25!

justjuanmorebeer · 17/08/2014 17:48

Love the feather one. I am sooo short though do you think the length will be funny on me? The ruffle might stick out from under gown though which could be quite cool...
