My mum has similar tastes and she loves Ghost (in the dark purple bottle), daisy by Marc jacobs and chanel allure.

Personally I absolutely adore Stella. (The perfume not the larger :) ).

The following sites have good perfume reviews:

Now Smell This www.nstperfume.com/
Bois de Jasmin boisdejasmin.com/

I find Frangrantica useful too: www.fragrantica.com/

Sounds like your mum is a fan of sweet/spicy? YSL Opium; Dior Addict; Prada Candy; Prada Amber. Bit less High Street - Hermes Elixir des Merveilles (beautiful bottle too) and Donna Karan Black Cashmere. Perhaps Serge Lutens if you're looking for anything really special?

One of the Clarins ones? The red one is lovely and spicy.
