More mascara - contact lenses?

Mouse's mascara thread got me thinking, but I didn't want to hijack her thread. I need to change my mascara too, but for different reasons - it keeps shedding bits into my eyes and as I wear contacts a lot that's unbelievably uncomfortable. Can anyone recommend a good black/brown one to wear with contacts? Are these tube ones ok or not?

I wear Bobbi Brown 'Everything' mascara with my contacts and very sensitive blepharitis-prone eyes specifically because it doesn't flake. I have long eyelashes that need thickening and this does the trick.

Next on my list is try tube mascara though!

I wear contacts and have not had much luck with tubing mascara. I find that it flakes and I'm always finding bits in my eyes which is the last thing I need. Mind you I haven't tried the No 7 one that everyone is raving about.

I find the Diorshow mascaras are best for my eyes. They dont flake or smudge and I don't have to pull at my eyes to get them off. They also don't burn or sting like say Clinique mascaras do.

Good suggestions both! Obvs I would love to have mahoosive lashes to bat, but not having streaming bright pink eyes is more important!

I know exactly what you mean ocelot - the diorshow stuff does give quite good lashes too though! I use the Iconic type btw

I wear contacts and I really like the tubing mascaras. They don't flake and have not caused me any irritation.
The L'oreal beauty tubes one is good and gives massive lashes (almost too much for everyday wear IMO - and the white primer part is awful, so just use the mascara bit) and Estee Lauder Double Wear is very good too (but expensive).

Clinique is a great option - they have tubing and normal mascaras. My friend has sensitive eyes and she can only wear Clinique as everything else seems to cause her irritation.

La Roche-Posay also make (normal) mascaras for sensitive eyes - they are good too.
