OK so I am a curvy 16 hourglass I cannot wear contemporary stylish shapes need support and flattery. This means sometimes I stray into frump territory. I have been invited to a 30th birthday with bars after affair. I do not want to look like I am the older Auntie I am not yet 36 BTW lol.

Have purchased this dress as a kind of blank canvas ...although looking at it now I am a bit unsure dress thoughts would be most welcome to style it up a bit I was thinking a silver cuff/oversized clutch/ statement necklace. I also have - pinterest.com/pin/277464027015181064/?utm_source=android_share these shoes

Can anyone help please ?

I can't see the link for the shoes.

I would add colour with a sister belt like this

Lucked · 12/08/2014 22:30

Waist belt !!

Shoe link not coming up for me either! I like it. Statement necklace, nice earrings, maybe a wrap with it? I would wear coloured wrap and bag, maybe coloured shoes too.

Hello, I can't see the shoes but I would suggest trying a very sparkly/sequinny type of heel - proper wow factor that you can keep for very special occasions, and go for the silver cuff - job done...

Thanks all...like the idea of a waist belt I have seen and liked that on baukjen site. The shoes were pointy suede ankle strap v popular style this time last year!
parsley am not sure about a wrap will that make me look wedding guests/frumpy can you link to PIC idea? Liz I have been considering silver sparkly shoes will these be asny good?

They'd be perfect, and you should get loads of wear out of them this season as its all about embellishment and a bit of razamataz - gorgeous!

Well the dress arrived today and it is so so much better than I thought it would be - you can play around with the neckline a bit as the deep v does make me age a bit I feel ( I'm very busty makes me look a bit Linda Bellingham IYSWIM) It also falls on/just below knee which makes it a bit better.

Definitely trying to make it look a bit more Baukjen with a waist belt. And they have reduced it by a further bit it is now £!5.80! Doh!!.
