I'll be going to a wedding in September and wearing this dress

It fits really well, and I have a similar skin tone to the model in the picture but auburn hair. DP will be wearing a navy suit.

Does anyone have any ideas for shoes (with heels), bag, and something to keep me warm!? I guess I could keep to the nude colours in the dress but I was wondering if there were any better suggestions from you fashion savvy lot?

That is

Can you post a picture of the dress. Evidently monsoon is one of the irritating / backward companies with a website that redirects ALL non-mobile links to the homepage when they're accessed on a mobile device. So your link won't work on my phone.

it took me to a nude coloured dress

does this link work?

a bit small, sorry

ohmymimi · 10/08/2014 20:39

Sorry, tablet playing up. That is a beautiful dress. Have you considered a dull silver for your shoes/bag, with a deeper lavender wrap?

ohmymimi · 10/08/2014 20:41

Do I have the right dress? Pale lavender, three quarter sleeves?

takes me to a nude coloured 'Geneveive Jacquard Dress'

NannyLouise29 · 10/08/2014 20:56

Yes it's the nude coloured Genevieve Jacquard dress

I'd go with either red, silver or nude accessories.

NannyLouise29 · 10/08/2014 20:57

Right, and now the picture is working!

The beadwork is pearls and gold and silver beads and sequins. The bigger beads are an amber colour.

Gorgeous dress. You don't need to do much with shoes etc, given the embellishment on the dress. Nude courts, a. clutch in a contrast colour that suits you (maybe burgundy?)... Would you wear this with it? I know it's not typically wedding!

NannyLouise29 · 10/08/2014 21:26

VeryLittle I love that jacket! Not typically wedding doesn't bother me really, the only problem is I can't wear red Sad

I'm lucky to be able to do yellows and oranges, and can just about get away with an orangey-red, but true red clashes with my hair. I might have to try again for that jacket though... Wink

House of Fraser have very straightforward returns (voice of experience Grin). I don't think you can tell with reds until you actually try them on, they don't seem to photograph true. (Try it try it! I love it too)
