Now I know none of yu know me so this is a difficult question..... But I am 5'3", size 16 with the majority of my weight around my stomach.
Usually live in jeans and t-shirts for work and home but looking for a dress for an interview.

I keep looking at this but can't decide if it would suit me.

Anybody got any opinions or any other suggestions?

Thanks

As a fellow short apple I would have to say no.

I think it would emphasise your belly. You need a more nipped in waist.

And the no sleeves + high neck combo would do me zero favours either and I'm a 12.

I think you can do better.

maddy68 · 10/08/2014 17:05

I think you need a lower neckline to balance out a tum

Thanks a bunch..... I have no idea what suits me and can't actually stand shopping so all advice appreciated!

Will go back to my ebay hunt!

Sorry, that sounded really snippy and is wasn't meant to Blush I am honestly grateful for you saving me £20 and looking awful.

How big are your boobs, arms and legs?

I'm an apple w big boobs, good legs, flabby upper arms. I wear a lot of knee length wrap style dresses w a 3/4 sleeve, most people are flattering enough to be shocked I'm an apple and not an hourglass.

Perhaps this sort of thing would suit?

There's a nice navy sheath dress in the gap sale at the moment, I think it would look much better, I am also an apple and would buy it but it isn't long enough for me.

Thanks, will look at both of them.

Don't want to spend too much as will probably never wear it again.
If I get the job it will be back to jeans and t-shirts.

I'm the same size and shape as you and have been wearing printed trousers with a plain cami and smart cardigan for interviews this summer. new look have some nice ones for about £18, i got a couple of pairs for interviews but have ended up living in them. you get block colour ones as well.
