Can anyone advise me what to look out for that is particularly wonderful from this region of Italy, please?
I'm taking my 16 yr old to see the ruins but I'd love to know where are the best local places for a bit of S&b shopping!

I got beautiful linen shawls in a shop in Sorrento

Oh thank you holly I'll look out for them. Maybe there'll be some lovely linen bedsheets too.

Depends how far you intend to explore. Lots of lovely - and expensive - boutiques in Positano, and you can get custom-made sandals there. But, along the Amalfi coast and on the islands in the Bay of Naples you can get lovely ceramics, household linen and linen clothes. Don't miss out on the mozzarella, provolone, fior' di latte and gigantic lemons either! Have a lovely time.

Bright cheerful ceramics and lemon liqueur, Sorrento has some great little shops.
Have a wonderful time!

Definitely Positano! Some gorgeous shops and if you have time, drop in for a Rossini (Bellini but made with strawberries) at the bar at the hotel Il San Pietro. Even better, lunch at their beach side restaurant, Carlino. The most beautiful hotel in the world (in my opinion!) and has amazing views. A great place to debut your new purchases too as has pretty stylish guests..

Oh brilliant thanks we're getting excited now!

Can't help with clothes shops but you MUST go to Sorento to the famous ice cream place, it will blow your mind, and I'm not even a huge fan. Completely the most delicious, perfect ice cream I've EVER eaten

Ooh sounds lovely - won't give us the squits then?
