How to iron a gypsy skirt?

I have a lovely gypsy skirt which has creases which are supposed to be there. I have washed it and it is creased to buggery but how do I iron it without ironing the creases out that are supposed to be there?

You dont ever iron it. Wash again, hang out on line straight away and when dry wring it up like you would if wringing wet washing out and fold it over and put a large elastic band or hair tie on it. I am assuming you are talking about the boho type of skirt.
