I know there was a thread on this in 2012, but i'm just hoping to find out what is currently the best once available, i'm finding it's smudged halfway through the day now on top and bottom lids, generally as face has got a bit greasy - any top ones that don't cost the earth please, ideally less than £8 please ?

Thanks ;)

I've tried a few brands over the years (Loreal, Maybelline, Rimmel, Dior) but I keep coming back to Max Factor. I used to use the 2000 Calorie one but now use the Masterpiece Max one. Wear it all day at work even with contact lenses and it stays put on me.
Not sure how much it is though.

Really pleased with Liz Earle Lash Definition Smudgeproof Mascara Smile

While you're in Boots, check out their No.7 range - Stay Perfect. I've got their brown/black on atm and it's stayed put since early this morning. Was recommended here and it's really The Works. Bought it with my Bootscard points so no idea of the price, but the No7 range isn't expensive, is it?

Hi, can anyone recommend a good mascara, as I wear glasses, sometimes contact lenses? So annoying when the mascara touches my glasses & marks them, & alot of mascara I have tried flakes under eyes after a few hours. thanks everyone :)

cherrybath · 27/08/2014 19:54

I use Max Factor Masterpiece as well - I like the brush, it separates lashes and doesn't overload them or make them go all spidery. I used to wear contact lenses so prefered this one without the lashbuilding bits. My eyes go a bit watery with the ingredients in some mascaras, but not this one.

Bought No 7 Stay Perfect after a recommendation on here and am v happy with it - I thinking tubing is the way to go for no smudges or flakes.

BunnyLebowski · 27/08/2014 20:14

Max Factor 2000 Calorie.

It's the best mascara on the market.

And that includes all the high end ones (that I've wasted £££ on).

Botanicbaby · 27/08/2014 20:31

What Bunny said. I couldn't agree more.

It is the BEST of the lot and I've tried everything from £ to ££££££! Grin

hedwig2001 · 27/08/2014 20:36

Superdrug B.long. It is a tubing mascara and is brilliant.

Personally I get my lashes dyed and then use a cheap clear mascara on them. I do have naturally very long lashes though. It saves the whole panda eyes at weddings (or with hayfever) thing.

ElleDubloo · 27/08/2014 21:10

I use Bobbi Brown waterproof mascara. It seriously does not smudge. Ever. I wore it all day, cried throughout a 3-hour play and rubbed my eyes furiously... couldn't even tell.

Have to try. Thanks for the tip.
I'm using Maybelline, The Colossasal Volume Express (the yellow one) and must say it's rather good.

Kenzi · 28/08/2014 17:53

Another vote for Maybelline The Colossal Volum'Express. I find it excellent.
