has anyone ever stitched up a wrap dress?

I've seen one I like but I know from experience that I'm never at ease in a wrap dress - no matter how generous the overlap is they always gape and show my wobbly thighs. I wondered if anyone has ever put a few stiches in one to hold it together and if it has worked or has ruined the way it falls? any thoughts?

I've put a couple of stitches at the top to stop boobies falling out and that worked okay.

I once sewed myself into dome dungarees (aged about 18) - looked gorgeous in my opinion but unable to go to the toilet all night. Oh to be back in the days where looks counted for more than practicality and comfort.

I have one that I safety-pin myself into every time - just a tiny gold one to avoid leg-gape. Also had the buttons that secure the 'wrap bit' moved on another dress to avoid severe cleavage-flashing.
Maybe try with a pin first then stitch in the same place if it works?

no but i saw a pic of a pregnant kirsty gallagher the other day and she clearly had a safety pin in her wrap top (expanding norks no doubt).

snicker at cod's ignored post.

not that it was ignored, mind. just snicker.
