The weather has cooled-what to wear over dress for holiday?

I have bought a few sleeveless dresses this summer. We were abroad and it was roasting.
But we go away next week to Ireland to a hotel-dinner in the evenings. What would you wear over the dresses?
This is one of them to give you an idea of the kind of thing I have.
Would a cardigan be ok?

lovely dress! how about a denim jacket? or a little shrug? if ur wearing a cardigan make sure its a cropped and fitted style, otherwise i think it would look wrong.
