£500 to spend at Mango - What should I buy?

I'm lucky enough to have £500 to spend at MANGO. It's not a store I usually shop at so I'm hoping for some advice and suggestions from you wise and lovely lot please!
I'm 5'5", 10 bottoms and 12 top - around a 34dd bust.
I'd ideally like to grab some sale bargains but I'm also hoping for an A/W wardrobe update!
Trousers/jeans ideally need to be high waisted as I have a horrid muffin-top Grin. My work and casual wardrobes can be fairly interchangeable as my job involves small children and bogies on a fairly regular basis!
So is anyone up for a bit of virtual wardrobe advice?

Anyone? What have you bought recently that you've loved? Or hated?!
Which one item would you buy from the new collections?

I got a great pair of dark grey high waisted skinny jeans, great for a muffin top (sounds like I am same size as you opSmile Smile ) also, a great dark blue cropped boucle jacket, can be dressed up or down. they have some love New pieces in too, I liked the cream and black jumpsuit but will wait til next payday! great selection of bags/scarves/jewellery too. enjoy Smile Smile

I would buy this, or another one of the lovely leather jackets. They're the perfect item, useful at all times of the year and so hardwearing.

Ooh Lisam, I think I have spotted those exact jeans- are they slightly faded and very soft? They're on my list!
I'm pretty sure that I spotted the Navy jacket too- i tried a similar cream one on and it was gorgeous Grin. I'd definitely like some jackets or blazers that can be dressed up or down!

Panda- that jacket is beautiful! I will add it to my list!

Thank you both so much Thanks

Any other suggestions?

this coat in the pink is divine, imo. I also like this one - adorable collar.

And this. You know just in case you need to attend the Oscars. ;)

Ooh Panda- I like your thinking! I love the first coat but prefer it in cream I think. The grey wraparound is really lovely. I have a bit of a penchant for necklines like that Grin
I don't have an invite to the Oscars sadly but I am being a bridesmaid next year and we're on the lookout for beautiful, long pale pink dresses-you're a genius!!

the jeans are called Broadway, and are a very flattering fit- wore them at the weekend and they looked great! they had them in a variety of fours so I may go back and get some more! I had the two kids with me so it was very much a pop in and out as fast as you can, so I have been looking at the New collection online, some lovely things- neutral tops, blouses, dresses. love mango! have you managed to spend your £500 op? if not, I can help you! Smile Smile

£500 at Mango? Ooh, you lucky thing!!!

I am in Northern Ireland and there only seems to be one Mango, which is a concession in HoF Belfast. I looked on the Mango website recently and there's some lovely stuff in the sale, including some really nice jackets.

Cataline · 05/08/2014 13:26

Broadway jeans are definitely on my list then! I seem to be spending a ridiculous amount of time in the Mango website at the moment, planning what I might buy! Going to head to a store early next week (checked this morning and the sale is on until next thurs (14th) so I may still nab a bargain! I can't use the voucher online or in concessions so I'm going to have to have a full day away from DH and DS to get to a real store. How awful! Grin
Here's hoping they have plenty of lovely stock in- and in my size!!
I definitely want a jacket of some description- leather is out which is a shame as they have some really lovely ones. I'm quite into fairly soft blazer styles but not the really baggy unstructured ones!

Beware of the sizing it's absolutely MASSIVE on some stock.

Cataline · 05/08/2014 20:55

Thanks Gini - that's good to know! I'm going to try everything on in the store before making a decision- I'll have several hours to peruse and decide and I'm taking my sister along. She's the most honest critic imaginable! We could fall out.... Grin
