Thats great! I would get the tessie satchel in oxblood, I lost faith in mulberry ,but this beauty is making me rethink, I saw it in selfridges and it really looks great, lovely soft leather, and the shape is perfect, I don't know what you could get with the rest of the money though! Boots?shoes? Scarf? Another bag maybe?

ohmymimi · 01/08/2014 17:17

A refund? Smile

LadyRubyPenhaligon · 01/08/2014 22:22

I thought the same- if it was faulty they have got away with offering a credit when you should have received a refund.

carrielou2007 · 01/08/2014 22:39

Tessie in Oxblood is fab, I bought one and purse yesterday. Shocking they still get away with credit note not refund though Shock

Madaboutthrows · 01/08/2014 22:43

Go to an outlet and spend some of it there.

boodles · 02/08/2014 09:50

They have to give you a refund if it is at fault, don't let them get away with not giving you one. I would get the refund and then buy a mimi berry bag and pocked the other about £900! Mimi bags are beautiful, the leather is so gorgeous, they are well made (and made in the UK, not India or turkey like mulberry). There new season bags are due out next week (you can see some of them on John Lewis.com.

boodles · 02/08/2014 09:50

*their not there!

Greengardenpixie · 02/08/2014 10:09

On a bag? wow thats like someones wage! Get a refund and put the money to better use. Sorry dont want to offend but over 1000 on a bag jeez

picnicbasketcase · 02/08/2014 10:11

Are you allowed to choose something that costs a bit less and keep the difference? Because that's what I would do (disclaimer : I don't really 'get' the bag thing either)

AnnabelleDarling · 02/08/2014 11:00

As a matter of principle I would insist on a refund and enjoy a couple of afternoons in Selfridges working out what to spend it on. Really, don't let get away with credit rather than a refund.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 02/08/2014 11:31

Cheeky fuckers not offering you a refund!

chocisonabikinidiet · 02/08/2014 12:08

I would insist on a refund. The item was faulty after all.

OldBagLady · 02/08/2014 21:55

Thanks for the lovely suggestions! Tessie is a consideration for the future. I really wanted a bright colour so went for a small Bayswater satchel in orange and used the difference for a French purse in indigo.

No complaining about Mulberry from me. I didn't ask for a refund because, honestly, I would rather have another bag. Sorry to those who don't "get" the bag thing but my title isn't exactly misleading!

I agree an outlet is the way forward, then you can get two!

Is a Bayswater £1200 now? Mine was £495 in 2008!
