Does leg make-up work to cover veins?

Hello, if you have tried Mac Face & Body or the Vichy one please let me know if they were worth buying? I have thread veins all over my thighs and feel embarrassed to get them out this summer. Would really appreciate any help!

following with interest; my thighs look like a map of the underground!

I find the vichy one to be a bit waxy even with setting powder. The sally hansen airbrush legs works for me. I use the lotion one not the spray as it feels thicker.

Mac face and body went patchy on me but I was in a very hot club at the time.

Should say that I have veins and scarring

Thanks will check out the Sally Hansen one. Is it waterproof? Was wondering if you can wear them on the beach/in sea? Would you put sun lotion on top?

I have never worn it in the sea. They are designed to come off with soap and hot water and it takes some scrubbing. They are water resistant but I don't know if it would go patchy in the sea
I have put the sally hansen over sunblock before.
I would probably try proper fake tan if I was going to the seaside. As getting my legs out is a new thing for me I will try fake tan next. I just bought the st tropez one hour mousse.

Sally hansen is waterproof in the sense that water just rolls off. I experimented on my legs with a glass of cold water to see if it would be rain proof.

Many thanks Oslo that's great will give it a go! If anyone has tried the Mac Face and Body one I would love to hear your thoughts though.

I have the Sephora Make Up Forever one and love it. Covers the KP on my arms and use it on my face too.

I love makeup forever foundation so would be interested to try their body foundation perdita

Face and Body is not waterproof-it's fine in a bit of rain/sweat but wouldn't last in the sea. It's not really designed for that. It does work really well on veins, bruises etc though.

Does anyone know where I can buy Sephora Make up Forever please? I have had two 'mishaps' leaving ugly scars on both shins

ElspethFlashman · 11/05/2019 07:34

Just a tip with the Sally hansen, spray it onto a mitt and tap, tap, tap. If you rub it on you get much less coverage. Tapping it on takes a bit more effort but covers everything and you can build it up to full coverage.

Debenhams sell the Make up Forever stuff.

jannyr1 · 15/05/2019 07:35

Thanks Bring Me Tea. I tried Debenhams for Make up Forever but sadly they only do face make up.

BringMeTea · 18/05/2019 20:43

@jannyr1. The Water Blend is a face and body foundation... I got some in my local Debenhams recently... Maybe the assistant was confused?
