Where do 14/15/16 yo boys buy their clothes?

13 yo isn't very interested in clothes, his main criteria are that they're comfy and he doesn't have to go shopping.

I generally get him stuff from Next or M&S (no imagination!)

However, he's tall and skinny. For school uniform he has age 14/15 with an adjustable waist but for other clothes, the largest kids sizes are not long enough and small mens' things are far to wide. He's far from the only young teen built like him, so what do others do?

Primark, Top Man and Burtons for my DS he is 16

My 13 yr old DS is similar - tall, lean and hates shopping infact would rather wear too small clothes than actually have the embarrassment of going into a clothes shop with me!

He will walk through M&S on way to food hall and grab the odd thing that he likes but won't try on and it's limited to plain shorts/t-shirts. I ordered several things like jeans from next and boden online delivery and that worked really well.

And can spot a bargain at 100 paces

DS is 14, but 5' 8" and 10 stone.

For school uniform he still gets into M&S age 15-16 but for everything else I have to buy adult clothes. Top Shop, River Island, Hollister...

It was more tricky a year ago, when he was outgrowing children's sizes but too short and skinny for adult clothes. There is a real gap in the market.

Bank, jd sports (they do fashion clothing in store not just sportswear), topman, hollister and superdry.

Ds1 (17) & ds2 (12) both like mandmdirect as well and so do I as it's cheap! I find primark expensive for what it is now and the clothes fall apart after a few washes.

I bought 13 year old ds some jeans in h&m a couple of weeks ago. He is very slim and long legged, but very fussy about clothes. They were from the men's section but they have small waist sizes. I generally buy plain t shirts from Primark for him. Men's small fits ok.

ds is 11 and wears size 13-14
His favourite shirt at the moment is from saltrock. We have an outlet store and it was in the sale.

It is nice and I will take him back there to find more treasures!

and the Nike shop (in the outlet centre) was surprisingly good value in the kids section, which goes up to age 14/15

Agree this age is difficult! Shops that say they do older kids stuff never have bigger sizes in stock.

Tops wise ds can wear adult XS which are readily available in most shops (next, fat face, hollister, h&m). Jeans and shorts are difficult! Primark is the only store I've found that does 26 inch waist jeans. The alternative is 28 which are in most shops and a belt....

26 in waist is too big for DS! I haven't been able to buy him track pants without putting in extra elastic myself in years. Even kids sizes have to have a belt or adjustable waist

No quite on his waist, a bit of boxer waistband often showing but, like I said comfort the main thing so anything that restricts movement is out! I often wonder how the young men manage to walk with the crotch of their trousers round their knees.

Boden Johnnie B slim leg jeans in Long length work for my 13 yo who is about 5' 8" and extremely slim. They aren't cheap but I wait for a good discount code and they do wash and wear so well. I also got some jeans from Debenhams boys range which were not too bad, they do up to age 16 if I recall.
For tops he does like superdry and again although they are pricey they are amazing quality and last so much better than cheap t shirts do. Jack and Jones do good multi buys on their t shirts and start at XS

DS15 likes Superdry although he finds the branding heavy handed. I second the comments above about high prices but washing and wearing well. We bought size 28 waist long leg jeans two days ago to replace outgrown Levis skinnies; these fit without falling down. Hollister bottoms are enormous but the tops in XS are okay, however he now longer likes them much. Uniqlo jeans and casual trousers in XS men fit quite well in a slouchy style. The rest is picked up here and there when we see something nerd-chic!

H&m, gap, Ralph lauren polos for golf or dressy up occasions

Ds is 12 and 5ft 7in. Until about 6 months ago I could still order him super skinnies and taper leg jeans from next online in an age 16. They still have adjustable waist. Granted, the length didn't last him too long but they were ideal at the time.

Now he loves H&M, Next men, Bank and everything is pulled very (very) tightly with a belt.

H&M mostly. next too. Mine's 15 now and has been in men's clothes since he was 13 as he is just really tall. he used to be way too thin for men's clothes which meant he had to wear a belt or have things falling down, but he's filled out a bit recently.
