I'm thinking of a bag for winter that is soft and slouchy and fits under my arm- I really like this style although it is £££ for me!

I like the black and also the bright colours it's available in.

Sorry I don't ask much, but does anyone know if it's possible to buy this style any cheaper?

Nice bag! Keep an eye on my-wardrobe and Liberty's, which often have 'mid-season' generic discounts (20% off everything, £30 when you spend £150 sort of thing). Both stock Marc by Marc Jacobs, though I don't know whether they have that exact style.

I looovve MBMJ bags! I have 5 but I love them all. I have the same one as you in black Pastperfect and I absolutely love it too. So blinkin practical as well.

Anyway OP, you'll probably have more luck getting the colours on sale as they are seasonal and get put in the sale when new colours come to replace them. June is when most places like selfridges/my wardrobe/net a porter/liberty/harvey nichols do their big sales. Next one will be at Xmas time, though as someone said they do promotional things throughout the year. Sign up to the emails to get advance notice & or sale preview.

Is also worth going to local boutiques as sometimes they have sales on that go under the radar. I got my black bird bag I mentioned above on sale from Cruise clothing. Shocking service though but I got my bag! Got my violet Karlie Classic Q in harvey nichols sale preview before the masses too. Went to a tiny shop in centre of derby when away on a work course and they had some yellow ones on sale at the time.

You do have to pay customs but they calculate an estimate for you at checkout, I think, and you pay a deposit, if the deposit is too great they refund you the difference. You can also calculate it yourself at dutycalculator.com.

It's lovely - but I do love a soft & slouchy leather bag (not big into the structured ones).

I would pay extra not to have that gold logo square on the front, though...it's the only thing that puts me off.

I have this in black, and not normally a fan of black bags but the shade is perfect. I love it, it's my go to bag, it goes with everything- smart enough for work, works well with casual and going out clothes and just a nice size.

I hunted high and low for it on sale in black, but it only ever seemed to be reduced in the colours. In the end I got lucky on eBay from a seller I knew was reputable.

The US sites seem to work out all the customs charges for you these days.

Pay the gold details aren't as noticeable as they appear to be in the pics online, not as brassy etc

I think the black would probably be the best colour for me.
