Gina Conway Hair Salons - good?

Live in easy distance of the GC Wimbledon salon and seem to remember some positive comments about it on here a couple of years ago. Anyone know if they are still good ? If so, which stylist/s do you recommend?

Currently have my hair done at Aveda Covent Garden salon and feel a bit apprehensive about venturing outside Central London so would have to be sure they'd be good.

My other thought at moment is to try new George Northwood salon, in Central London. Will start new thread asking for views on that, to avoid confusion.

Bump for evening posters.

I went a lot when it first opened, to the yoga classes too. Loved it. I went again about a year ago, still great. It is pricey, otherwise it would be my regular place. After about ten visits with six stylists, never a duff cut.

Thanks. Presumably it's the Wimbledon salon you went to?

Can't recommend a stylist in Wimbledon as I go to Gina Conway in Fullham but always find it good.

Who do you recommend in Fulham? I could also get there.

Tracy or Domenico are both excellent.

Just typed a long post and lost it! Just to say can't recommend George Northwood enough. Had consultations with Josh Wood and Sally Northwood and much preferred her. Amazing colour (can see why she has her reputation now), lovely salon and half the price of Josh Wood. Going for a cut with George in September. Loved the experience and love my hair.

Thanks so much. Am going to book.

Was a bit worried I wouldn't get same attention, as not young and super glamorous like some of his clients ( eg Alexa Chung). Of course, you may be, or be as on-trend as, Alexa Chung.

I wouldn't worry, they are really friendly and very approachable. The clientele was more mixed than I had expected. I know what you mean though, I'm at the younger end and am involved in the fashion/design industry and I find some salons/shops intimidating.

That sounds good.
