i am going on holiday in two weeks and am feeling a bit of a dog

i am very overweight and i can't lose 3 stone in two weeks but i can eat healthily

i have booked a haircut for the day before we go

have bought new clothes

i was thinking of getting my nails done-having gels? but i have never done it before and am a bit scared

what else should i be doing so i can feel my best?

Shellac/Gellish/etc nails are great for holidays as they'll last and look perfect for a couple of weeks.

Otherwise I'd just stock up on suntan lotion and some good books and stop worrying!

Smile not worrying-i just want to FEEL better!

I mean not worrying about mani/pedi (as you said you were a bit scared!) will make you feel better!

You could always get a gradual tanner or something so you feel a bit more bronzed before you go and the first outing of the swimming costume/bikini will be less unnerving? Though I personally just embrace the white/blue look as I've never figured out how to combine gradual tanner with regular shaving and I can't bring myself to wax!

oooh god-no to waxing!![shudder!]

i was wondering about a gradual tanner-like a dove one or something, but then while you are away-how do you know if you are catching the sun?Grin

god i should have done this months ago when i booked the bloody holiday!

i think losing a small amount of weight is a great confidence booster? Could you aim for 2-3 kilos?

i dont understand your issue about catching the sun, but I would go st tropez mousse self-tan over gradual tanners.

I always try on all my holiday outfits before I go ,along with accessories so that I have an idea of what to wear each night and so I have seen it all put together in a full length mirror
As sometimes the hotel rooms just have a wall mirror ...
This gives me more confidence that I will look put together and co- ordinated .
Also always have nails done in a bright summery colour ,and treat myself to a new pair of sandals ,usually jewelled River Island ones as they glam up any outfit instantly

sounds great!!!
