Packing for Mallorca -- take or leave maxi dress/skirt

I don't particularly like trousers so usually when I'm going to a hot destination I wear a maxi in the evening if it will be cool. For example Egypt in December.

I've never been to Mallorca, and I am going later this week. I don't think it will be that cool in the evenings. Anyone know?

For some reason I'm not keen on my maxis right this moment but I don't want to regret having no leg coverage.

(I am taking a pair of leggings for the plane which I plan to remove the moment we arrive.)

Any thoughts or advice gratefully received.

I would just pop one in, they don't take up an enormous amount of room. Better to take it than not and potentially regret it.

It will not be cool in the evenings, I wouldn't bother.

Hello from Mallorca! It's 23 degrees until about midnight which is perfect. Not too hot and not too cold either.

mirpuppet · 27/07/2014 18:49

Hi Ebayaholic -- does that mean no need to cover legs in evening?

Are restaurants over air conditioned --or is it just right?

A critique of my packing list would also be welcome. I am going for 7 nights.

Right now

I have

1 sleeveless jersey dress
1 strapless dress
1 stretchy jersey mini skirt
1 blue shorts
4 vest tops
2 tee shirts
1 long sleeve light weight white button down shirt
2 bikinis
1 one piece

I haven't decided if i should pack following but tending toward no --

denim skirt
stripped shorts
maxi skirt

Anything I should add or take away?

I've been to Mallorca in July 2013 and July 2012, and you won't be chilly in the evenings.

Your packing list: I'd be inclined to add one more dress and one more bikini. Have a great time, it's a fabulous island!

The restaurants are air conditioned, but not excessively so. And there's a lot of outside dining. If you're worried about being chilly (although I promise you won't be!) why not pack a very light scarf/wrap/pashmina that you could drape around your shoulders if necessary? If I'm ever chilly, it's my shoulders that need an extra layer, not my legs.

Thank you Petal02.

I am excited -- if you can't tell Grin

You've got me thinking about Mallorca again now ...... I want to try the north of the island next time we had out that way (my credit card has just started twitching)!

Weather was beautiful.

Did not need maxi; jacket or scarf.
