Yep. But I usually have a large glass of wine ice applied before I start.

TulipOHare · 26/07/2014 12:55

I used mine yesterday and had to stop after a few goes. Used to be able to take it so in my experience it's got worse! Confused maybe just because I'm due my period, think I read somewhere you are more sensitive to pain when due.

picnicbasketcase · 26/07/2014 13:07

Really? I don't think it hurts at all! What are you using it on? Actual proper epilators on the other hand - eye watering pain that makes you cold all over.

GlaikitFizzog · 26/07/2014 13:10

Wine and ice, right!

I need to learn to cope because I can't wax or immac anymore. Well I could but I wouldn't be able to leave the house until the skin regrew on my top lip.

It is effective though.

I had to stop at one point because my eyes were watering so much I had tears running down into the area to be de fuzzed!

GlaikitFizzog · 26/07/2014 13:25

I have lidocaine cream. Might try that next time!

It doesn't hurt me at all! Maybe you are holding it at a different angle or something? !

Pollywallywinkles · 26/07/2014 17:23

Make your skin taut, it won't hurt as much.

GlaikitFizzog · 26/07/2014 17:32

I could just be a wimp!

I do little rolling movements - so forward and back in really small increments rather than one big yank; and also keep the epistick bent more than the instructions suggest.

That, wine and ice seem to do the trick. Mainly the wine. Actually, quite a lot of wine. Still, hair free is important!

netty36 · 26/07/2014 20:18

I do mine after a hot bath.. Seems to help :)

rootypig · 26/07/2014 20:18

Yup definitely hurts more when due your period.

Taking some paracetamol an hour beforehand with wine isn't a bad idea.

Coumarin · 27/07/2014 02:36

Mine never bloody turned up from Amazon. It was the cheapy 70p (ish) one. I'm jealous of your tache pain.

dawndonnaagain · 27/07/2014 13:08

Did mine this morning. Still hurt. Really fucking hurt. Definitely not the first time and definitely hasn't got better since the first time.
