Hi all, as soon as I get in the house it's jeans off, hello all things elasticated... I like my comfort but look a state in old joggy bottoms etc..

Where can I get really nice casual wear to wear round the house? I'm thinking possibly yoga/harem pants/leggings, long vests to cover my bum in leggings, comfy long sleeved top to wear when colder - simple, comfortable but STYLISH in neutral colours, blacks, greys etc.. So I look classy (and sexy?) even when chilling..

Any ideas where to look? What to buy?

TIA Grin

I always say this, but matalan have some great long vests and light weight trousers. I'm wearing them right now (although will also be going out in them later).

No advice but watching with interest - DP's old Incredible Hulk pyjama bottoms and a series of manky old vests is not really attractive.

HappyGirlNow · 26/07/2014 12:16

Thanks curtains I'll have a look online..

beetlebum sounds even worse than me! I mean that in the nicest possible way Grin

Just to be clear - I still want elasticated - just flattering and stylish and classy and (reasonably) sexy elasticated... Possible???

The White Company has gorgeous things - I live in their PJs when I'm at home, I love them. I also have a merino wool hoody from there that I've had for years, wash in the machine and tumble dry and it is still like new. I have long cardis with hoods that are gorgeous, and they do lovely long sleeved t-shirts, really soft and good quality. I wear their cashmere socks in the winter. Can you tell I love being snugly, cosy but not slobby?!?

I never pay full price - I always wait until the sale/a discount code or a visit to their outlet stores. I had to strongly resist buying another pair of beautiful PJs yesterday at Bicester - reduced from £60 to £25.

What's your budget? Lounge Lover is taking a break, so all her stuff is on sale www.loungelover.com/shopping/women/essentials-eternitees-tank-top-in-grey-melange-item-10429861.aspx

Check out the Sweaty Betty sale for yoga pants: I just ordered some for £11

ElephantsNeverForgive · 26/07/2014 23:34

There's a lot of that sort of thing in the next catalogue.

Sleepwhenidie · 26/07/2014 23:38

The comfiest, sexiest leggings (sadly not the cheapest) are AllSaints Raffis. They cling gently but don't go baggy, have a very soft stretchy waistband. Then add Gap vest and cashmere wrap card and snuggle elegantly!

Cardi !

I have some Rosie autograph m and a PJs which are harem style pants and v comfortable. She has a good range

HappyGirlNow · 08/08/2014 08:31

Thanks all Grin

Being the slob that I am I wasn't really happy to spend quite so much as some of those on stuff that'll I'll probably spill stuff on when cooking etc.. So I just ordered a few pairs of leggings from Next, some extra long spaghetti strap vests to corner my bum, couple of cosy tops and I already have some older clingy long v-neck fine knits that I've just relegated to loungewear...

Looking better than I was put it that way!! Grin

I second the white company. All my clothes from there are comfy and have lasted well

Charlotte & Co have lovely loungewear and really good sales. Some of the styling on the website can be a little frumpy but everything I've bought has been really nice when it arrived.

H&M do lovely long vests, for about a fiver.
