Can feet grow all of a sudden when you have been the same size for 20 years?

I have been a size 4 since I was 13yrs old, all of a sudden (whilst looking for new boots) the size 4 seems to small.

Have my feet got bigger?

If so, can anyone help me find a pair of 4 1/2 boots please? They need to be leather, comfortable enough to wear all day at work (so a 2inch heel would be good) to wear with a trouser suit.

BTW I found the perfect boots on Saturday, until I looked at the price ?125! So not that expensive, maybe around ?45 - ?60.

Mmmmmm, so why did my little pound signs turn into question marks? Anyone know the answer to any of these questions? Lol

I went up a size after my first pregnancy - this has happened to a few of my girlfriends too! Good luck with the shoe search!

good boots are impoossible to find.
have you gained any weight recently? that makes feet go broader, which means you eed a bigger size shoe. but sometimes its just the design of that particular shoe that means it needs to be bigger

Lol, I am a grandmother, so pregnancy is not the cause, maybe old age.

I was size 5 and half all my life. After being pg with DD i went up to a 6 and half. After DS I find myself now a 7 or even 7 and half in some styles.

Squirrel2 - lovely boots with reasonable heel in Barretts. I think they were about £45.

I have put on a bit of weight recently - though I nearly killed dp for saying it in the shoe shop, infront of the assistant, who btw was a young, beautiful, stick insect!
