Bra experts - if this one fits, what others might be good?

Pre-DD, if I wanted a new bra, I trotted off to Bravissimo in Covent Garden on my lunch break and got myself sorted out. (Ah, memories.) Now I'm a SAHM and don't live anywhere near a decent bra supplier, but I've just bought online my first post-nursing bra, a Panache Tango in 30GG that fits like a dream. I'm just wondering if you can recommend other brands and styles that might work for me as the Tango does? And should I be ordering a 30GG in those styles, too?

Thank you! :) Thanks

I'd suggest in general trying more panache and cleo (made by panache) and using a 30GG as your "starting size"

I'm a big fan of Cleo, their "Marcie" is great, as are Millie, Minnie, Meg etc. The Panache Idina is good as is the Jasmine

Thanks, SC! I'll have a look at those (is it a requirement that all the Cleo styles start with M?) Are Freya and Fantasie bras different in shape/sizing from the Panache ones, do you think?

They do occasionally deviate, but recent Cleo styles do have a bit of a love of the M!

There's a difference in the shapes of lots of bras, but Freya and Fantasie are made by the same company. Panache and Cleo are a different company. As a very rough rule of thumb, we tend to find that most people get on with one or the other, but not many suit both that well. Freya tend to have wider wires and more of an east-west shape than panache which tend to be narrower with deeper cups.

I see - I'll stick to Panache for the moment, then. I'm embarrassed at how thrilled I am to have tits that are properly hoisted into place again! Grin

I have the panache jasmine and it's lovely, I like the stretch lace on the top of the cup Smile

Another recommend to all those suggested by Stats and good. I'm a huge fan of Cleo bras (two non-M ones to look out for are the Bella and Melissa).

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/07/2014 08:55

Ello Sorrel! did you Comexims show up?

SorrelForbes · 25/07/2014 09:04

Mornin'! I didn't actually order direct from Comexim in the end but via Well Fitting bras as Comexim were on holiday. It's a 4 week lead time so it should arrive any day. TBH I probably didn't save any time but not ordering direct!

I ordered the Nude bra (pic attached) and I'm keeping everything crossed that it fits as my EM nude bras are starting to get a bit tired. I'm allergic to nickel and my EM bras are obviously losing the coating on the metal rings (on the straps) as I'm getting a rash!

Paint the rings with nail polish! :)

Fingers crossed the comexim work - I have a nice big Ewa order sitting upstairs waiting for a try on session Grin

SorrelForbes · 25/07/2014 09:27

I do when I remember Grin.

Ooh, lucky thing. I expect a full review.

Can I please hijack?

I went to Bravissimo and got a Dixie bra in 30G from their own range which fitted beautifully. Any other suggestions?

SorrelForbes · 25/07/2014 10:09

I think the Dixie is the same cut as the Flutter Me, the Ring O Roses and the Check Mate. Older versions (which you may find on eBay) are Moonlight in Paris, Starburst and Poppy.

If the Bravissimo own brand work for you then it's worth trying some of their other similar styles. The Satine is another padded plunge which is very popular.

HalleLouja · 25/07/2014 10:25

I got the Flutter Me version of the Dixie. Will have a look at the other ones too. Thank you.

BabCNesbitt · 25/07/2014 17:55

Do you know who makes the Bravissimo bras, SC? And thanks for the other suggestions, Sorrel!

Bravissimo branded bras are made to different templates -they're a lot less standard because they've deliberately tried to produce bras for different breast shapes. I love their balconettes like Betsy bow

HalleLouja · 26/07/2014 11:43

I wasn't expecting to like their bras so much. But was very impressed. Am usually a Freya bra wearer.
