This la Roche poetry stuff - will it dry out my skin?

I have 42-year old temperamental skin, itchy lumps, hormonal breakouts on cheeks and jawline but it's not that greasy. I am a bit desperate as it's never been so bad and have heard good things on here.
Shall I give it a go or will I make things worse by encouraging stupid skin to make more oil?

Physiological cleanser - love it! So sciencey!

OK, will give that a whirl then!

I used the effaclar and although my skin felt tight it wasn't anything that my normal moisturiser couldn't sort.

I used a tube and a bit and have now stopped. Was expecting spot-ageddon when my af arrived (late) this month. Although I was extra hormonal my skin stayed pretty good! :)

Suddengeekgirl · 24/07/2014 08:38

Sorry - should have said I used the effaclar duo +

I've used Effaclar wash & duo + and definitely not dried out my skin. I have dry/combination skin.

I have a dreadfully oily t-zone but I'm also prone to dry skin near my jawline. I use the effaclar range and it's fabulous, drastically reduces oiliness where I need it without even remotely drying out anywhere else. Love the stuff.

Agree - have Effaclar Duo and proper combination skin - dry cheeks, oily T zone. Reduces oil beautifully but no dryness.

ArtisanBaps · 24/07/2014 19:57

Excellent - sounds like it won't be a problem - off to read up on effaclar and physiological ranges.

Yes, I love it. I am 41 and was having trouble with lumps under the skin, hormonal spots, and general grossness, even though my skin is no oily.

Hasn't dried my skin out at all, just rebalanced it and cleaned the pores out.
