And people have asked if I've lost weight when I wear them

I think they might be magical trousers.

AllieDelOllio · 13/09/2006 21:34

ooh, do they do a short leg hunker? i need magic pants to combat my lardy arse and gut

marthamoo · 13/09/2006 21:35

I could do with some magic pants - do you think they might make spots on your chin disappear too?

twinsetandpearls · 13/09/2006 21:36

Do they slim your thighs, I sometomes think that cords make my thighs look chunky - which they are!

AllieDelOllio · 13/09/2006 21:38

if they are a fine cord they should have the said "magical" effect

Kelly1978 · 13/09/2006 21:46

Hmm, what did I wear them with - OK, I wore them on Saturday (I think you had a spy ) and had on a v-necked top which was predominantly green and cream with a bit of pink with embroidery and a couple of sequins on it (was last season's Next one and it sounds foul described like that!) and a longish cream shirt over it, which has a tiny gold thread running through it. And a handkerchief-ish cardigan (no buttons, that weird chunky knit mad stuff - do you know what I mean?) in green.

Have also worn scoop-neck white top with them too - 3/4 length sleeves, but rolled up - top is that fabric that has a square-weave [style thickie]

Kelly1978 · 13/09/2006 22:09

but what shoes?

colditz · 13/09/2006 22:09

They've got some lovely little boy's jumpers. I know it's naff to dress them the same, but I think I might do it anyway

hunkermunker · 13/09/2006 22:10

Oh, shoes - er, Saturday night boots with kitten (I think) heel and with white top I wore my black wedge-ish sandals.

Kelly1978 · 13/09/2006 22:18

hmm. wonder if ballet pumps with the tiny heel woudl work.

lou33 · 13/09/2006 22:20

i love corduroy, i have trousers and skirts in it

puff · 13/09/2006 22:24

corduroy usually makes me feel huge - will go and check these out

MrsSpoon · 13/09/2006 22:27

You know what's going to happen now, M&S are going to be sold out of those trousers by the weekend!

TBH I wouldn't have looked twice at them before (like others always stayed away from cords thinking they would add bulk) but if they are magic slimming trousers I'll definately give them a go.

hunkermunker · 13/09/2006 22:30

ADO, yes, they do do a short leg, which, by rights, I should've bought - but they're cord, so they go funny round the knees if they're too short, IMO. So I bought the regular leg and they're perfect.

hunkermunker · 13/09/2006 22:36

It's very fine cord though - not chunky at all. And I love the colour - green far more flattering than I thought it would be.
