Getting out of the habit ...

Of buying "fashionable" clothes.

I seem to be in a rut of buying flowery tops or Peach tops or grey skirts, which are in season now.

How do I change to wearing "normal" everyday clothes? Sounds weird but I just want some nice jeans and a top, but what top? A nice knee length dress, which pattern should I go for?

Not sure if I'm articulating this right though.

What are the main pieces you would recommend?

I tend to buy my dresses in plain colours and then add a scarf and/or a cardi to jazz it up Smile all of my wardrobe is then winter ready (with thick leggings and boots) and can be used as work wear or casual wear.

also it depends on age/height/build as to what style would suit you

Ok so a navy dress for instance but would that go with different coloured tights? I think I mainly need help with tops.

I'm 38 a size 14/16 hourglass if that helps but I don't like clingy things I tend to buy size 16 as it comes up loose on me which I prefer.
