Mine likes me best in fairly low-key stuff jeans and a fitted top and NAKED

I like him in a suit (power mad me) and NAKED but for his shoulder tattoo

Sometimes I've dated men who love dresses and a more "classic" look, so it's odd feeling like I'm dressing down a bit for date night out!

I just asked him and he said the dress I'm wearing at time minute Hmm as it shows a bit of cleavage and leg. He's easily pleased!
I like him best in a stripey tshirt he has with pale blue jeans. Sounds awful but he looks bloody lovely :)

ApplebyMennym · 22/07/2014 20:32

Good thread, my favourite of his is NOT his favourite, and vice versa! I like him in jeans and a particular blue and black striped (might be Paul Smith) shirt, with a rough beard. He thinks he looks "half finished" and prefers his beard longer.

His favourite on me is any pair of jeans and a band T-shirt. I think I look crap in jeans because I'm short and fat but he says they make my curves look amazing and the band t-shirts are down to earth so I don't look high maintenance. I prefer a dress and leggings.

mumtosome61 · 22/07/2014 20:35

I love him in a shirt and jeans. He hates shirts because he says he feels fussy in them - just a nice, clean, ironed shirt with a button undone so I can see his tuft of chest hair.... it is so simple and understated but so nice.

He says he likes me in anything providing he can see a tiny bit of cleavage and my collar bones. He also likes tights, but the normal kind (not fishnet). To be honest, he's pretty complimentary full stop - his favourite "outfit" seems to be the first-thing-in-the-morning ruffled hair/nightwear look; fuck knows why Grin

MissScatterbrain · 23/07/2014 08:43

Him: A dress, preferably a well fitting one which shows my legs and arms off.

Me: Shorts and smart polo shirt showing off his legs and arms.

MamaLazarou · 23/07/2014 08:56

I like him in casual slobbing out gear - jeans, t-shirts, that sort of thing. For work, he dresses like a geography teacher (he is not a geography teacher) and I love it! I'm not a fan of men in suits - so boring and square.

He seems to like me best in an ankle-length t-shirt dress with side splits.

Lambzig · 23/07/2014 09:01

I like him in a loose linen shirt and shorts and flip flops. I also like him in a dinner jacket, but nealy every man looks better in a dinner jacket.

He has a particular fondness for a rose pink silk dress from jigsaw which is very floaty and pretty. He also likes me dressed for work (tailored expensive dresses). Definitely dresses all the way, preferably with high heels.

ChablisChic · 23/07/2014 09:34

DH definitely prefers me in a dress and heels, but I have finally managed to convince him that, at my advanced age, I don't do sleeveless or show too much leg!

I like him best in a smart suit, or linen jacket, open neck pink shirt and dark jeans. He doesn't suit casual, he's not the right shape, poor love.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/07/2014 09:39

Dp is really odd - his favourite outfit on me is black cigarette leg trousers, a black mesh Cos jumper and black shoes: he says I look like an Ingmar Bergman heroine in it! Other than that, he's really not very interested in what I wear and just says it all looks fine.

I like him in dark blue jeans and a blue and white checked casual shirt - he has really bright blue eyes and the shirt accentuates them.

lurkingaround · 23/07/2014 16:09

Your partners are all have quite sophisticated taste!. DP likes me in tight clothes with a bit of cleavage. Mortifyingly obvious manlyHmm taste. Tits and ass. Not my favourite look by a long shot, I really dislike it. Anyhoo, he does have a favourite jacket (thank goodness for small mercies), it's a Zara one from a couple of summers ago, the scarf print one. I like it too, but I definitely look better in dresses.

I, OTOH, have very sophisticated taste in him.Wink A paricular pair of jeans and a particular bluey shirt.

aftereight · 23/07/2014 16:33

Him for me:
Any dress, with heels.

Me for him:
Slim jeans and a short sleeve, very slim fitting white casual shirt, with an open collar

gerbiltamer · 23/07/2014 16:36

DH likes me in dresses which show leg and cleavage (I'm noting a pattern emerging here..) He doesn't like me wearing baggy jeans or Gilets?!

I prefer him donning a shirt, desert boots and 501s with a chunky belt, the latter really because unpopping the button fly is so darn sexy -as long as the gent in question isn't wearing cartoon underpants-. I also have a thing about cord or velvet jackets...

500smiles · 23/07/2014 18:26

We are both sadly predictable:

DH likes me in a fitted dress and heels - I actually wear this for work quite often anyway.

I like DH uber smart - IMO every man looks better in a DJ or morning suit or military dress

Umlauf · 23/07/2014 18:30

DH likes a little sundress he bought me (the only thing he has ever bought me!) from French Connection a while ago. It is short, and it has a zip that goes down to navel level. He likes it when I unzip..!

I like him best in his grey jersey Charles Tyrwhitt lounge suit because it is so soft and snuggly.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/07/2014 20:22

I told dp about this thread and asked him what his answer would be. He said the Ingmar Bergman heroine outfit is nice but he really likes me best in a black DKNY bra and knickers! I guess black is the unifying theme there, anyway!

babybarrister I think you must be married to DH! He hates buttons too. Wtf is that about? And he has next to no interest in clothes. I almost hear him sigh when I ask 'what's this like'.

50ShadesOfSummer · 24/07/2014 07:44

DH likes me in shorts or playsuits (with tights in the winter) as he says I have the figure for them. Especially if worn with wedges! Also likes me in a biker jacket as he says it gives a "rock chick" edge. Has a thing for red lipstick - always compliments me when I wear it to go out. Doesn't like me in jeans much - and I tend to agree. They are not the best look on me.

I like him in a white linen shirt with skinny jeans. Or a fitted shirt with a nice pattern. Not too fussed about his shoes - so long as they aren't flip-flops! (Not just him, don't like them on men at all.) He can look really good in a suit, but can also look not so good. Never put my finger on the difference. He doesn't wear them much so haven't pursued it.
