Easiest way to curl long thick hair?

My hair is long, thick, coarse and I usually straighten it into submission with my GHDs but I fancy curling it now and again. No idea how or what with. Does anyone have similar hair and can recommend a method or gadget please?

My hair is long and thick and the only way I have ever been able to curl my hair with any kind of efficiency is heated rollers.

Bodicea I remember my mum having heated rollers when I was younger! She has same hair too. Smile Do you find one set is enough for your hair?

Which ones do you have?

I have long thick coarse hair and I curl it with my GHDs

I have the babyliss ones. A set doesn't completely do my hair. I tend to use velcros for the top layer so it isn't "curly curly" on top and then heated curlers underneath. You could do it the other way round I suppose.
I sometime just use velcros but that gives me more bouncy hair than curly.
I should add my hair isn't course, more slippy. Your hair might take curls better.
I have never been able to master ghds of hair wand curls. To time consuming.

try the babyliss secret curler, large boots stores usually have a demo too

The babyliss secret curler does look good but I've winced at the price!

At the risk of sounding like I'm a hundred years old I sometimes curls mine with setting lotion, rags and sleeping on it. Lasts for ages and gives nice loose messy curls.

Edith I am willing to try anything! Does it disturb your sleep? I'm assuming I could find some instructions online somewhere...
