Do you wear makeup while at the beach or pool on holiday?

I have a day of work and watching rubbish on the tv while ironing holiday stuff. This morning just had a bit about what makeup to wear that stays put.

I have never worn any makeup on holiday through the day but I'm interested if there is a wonder product that I should be packing this year particularly for eyes. As I'm getting a little older I can sometimes look a little tired after a, ahem, few too many lemonades.

no, because I put suncream on my face so it would be pointless putting make up on too

kinkymouse · 16/07/2014 12:31

Yeah well that was my reasoning. I just had a moment where I thought I was missing out. To be honest I get far too hot and sweaty so it would have to be a wonder product to stay on.

No, not to the beach or pool but I do get my eye lashes dyed before I go.

Was going to say exactly what mrsbungle said.

No I don't. You can't see my eyes anyway as I have sunglasses on.

I don't wear eye make up if going to the beach or pool do put a bit of bare minerals on face. A shiny nose is never pretty

I have too :( have use concealer and fill my eyebrows in at least

I might curl my lashes and wear some mascara. I wear a tubing mascara so it's waterproof, sweat proof and so on.
Other than that, I just wear sun cream.

I do tint my eyebrows as they are completely invisible if I don't. It's quite practical during summer as I don't have to fill them in.

I do wear makeup. Currently I just leave off the mascara because mine is not waterproof, although if I had a really trustworthy waterproof one I would wear that too.

Tbh I just apply tops ups of suncream on top of make-up if needed. It doesn't seem to go streaky. I wear mineral makeup (mainly on my T-Zone) and if applying extra suncream I have a stick for my face. I always wear a hat though and we haven't been anywhere really hot recently but I used to go skiing regularly and found I was able to apply sun cream over the top of my makeup without it going streaky.

I do sometimes. Usually a lick of waterproof mascara (or get my eyelashes tinted and permed before holiday) a bit of lipgloss or Vaseline and perhaps a bit of benetint or bronser to give my face a bit of a glow.

I always wear make up on holiday, I like to be camera ready as photos are being taken all the time! I'm not much of a beach/pool holiday person though so it would be just like going on a day out at home to me, I might have a dip in the pool after a day's sightseeing but I wouldn't lounge at the pool/beach all day. I usually use an all-day sunscreen as a base so I don't have to reapply. Tinted moisturiser, brow gel, concealer, lip tint, cream blusher and gel eyeliner takes 5 min in the morning and stays put all day.

Just sun tan lotion. I figure there's no point if I'm going to get hot/sweaty/wet in the pool. And it's nice to let your skin have a holiday too!

umiaisha · 16/07/2014 14:30

God yes.

Not my usual full face, but a bit of concealer, blusher, eyeshadow, lip gloss and waterproof mascara.

Not that I'd be hanging round by the pool all day, but I'd probably have 8 hour cream on lips, and mascara and lipstick in bag for any sudden outings. I tend to wear v little make up on hols anyway as my skin always looks nicer in the sunshine.
