Comfy shoes for summer holiday, please

Can someone help me please?

I'm after some shoes that I can wear during the day for walking, sightseeing, beach that are comfy.

I currently wear mbt's all the time which are comfy, but too hot for this time of year. I have fit flops but they make my back and hips hurt, so just wondering if anyone can recommend something suitable. I don't want to spend too much money on the mbt sandal styles as I don't really like them. I also don't really like mbt's but they seem to be the only shoes I find comfy. I have an old plantar injury so the support from them helps with that.

I was considering some crocs but not sure if at almost 46 I should steer clear.

Many thanks in advance.

I have Mary Jane style croc as wedge sandal crocs. Best shoes I've ever had for comfort. And I'm mid 50s

I wore Next Heavenly Soles sandals in Orlando last year, lots and lots of walking, and they were extremely comfortable. And I hate sore feet!

Ooh, thanks for replying everyone. I haven't heard of any of those apart from the crocs. Off to have a look at them all now. Thanks again, so so much.

Gillybobs, how flat are the next ones? I really ache, if I wear completely flat shoes. The next ones look lovely though, just not sure of the arch support.

They aren't completely flat and the footbed is padded so I found them very comfy

I find some of the ecco shoes very comfy and they are currently at sales prices Smile

Sketchers go walk are amazing. Like walking on clouds and you can chuck them in the washing machine. Perfect shoes for holidays / doing a lot of walking.

Whyamisocrap · 16/07/2014 23:24

Ecco.. Not sure if I've ever heard of them. I'll have a look now.

And the Skechers go walk, do look like a possibility. I like the idea of Walking on clouds, so will check them out.

Thanks again everyone! Xxx

Bye, shosha, thanks for the links to the crocs. I ordered a pair of flip flop style ones, from amazon so will see how they are.

I bought a pair of Birkenstock Relax recently and have lived in them. The soles are shaped to mirror the curves on your foot and they are so comfy and look great too.
