I've recently lost weight and want to pay a bit more attention to myself.

Over a week what do you do beauty wise?

I'm about to hit 30 and have recently started a routine

I use a neutrogenia scrub as i have the spots if not the skin of a teen.
Simple moisturiser morning and night.
Pluck eyebrows once a week. (I used a youtube tutorial as I am so bad at this).
I started using a whitening toothpaste and I'm impressed with the results.
Every day I'm using my Lush shea butter lip balm.
Every day I'm using a moisturiser all over with the body shop hemp thing on hands feet and knees.
I'm also keeping my nails painted.
Tache wax every month.

Wash my face in the shower & then a nice face oil (Estelle & Thild at the mo) or any organic / natural face stuff. Never use anti aging goo or SPF. No make-up. I think it's aging. Johnson's baby shampoo or whatever's in the Euro Shop for my hair. No blow drying or products. I'm finding that as I get older, less is more. Epilator for my legs, don't do waxing anywhere... Body lotion if my skin's dry. I try to keep my teeth nice, polishing & flossing. My desert island item would be Burt's Bees original lip balm stick.

I do the least I have ever done, and skin has never looked better thanks to miraculous Effaclar!

So, every day:
Morning: shower, then wash face with Effaclar face wash, remove it with a muslin cloth. Then moisturuser under my eyes - whichever quite rich cream I have around, not a specific eye cream. Then Effaclar Duo over face and neck, and body lotion from the neck down. Full make-up every day.

Evening: Oily eye make-up remover, then wash face with Effaclar face wash, remove with muslin cloth. Then same moisturisers as in the morning. Foot cream with cotton socks, and thick hand cream at bedtime. Lashings of Burt's Bees lip balm throughout the day.

I use nail polish all the time, on my fingers year round and toes in the summer. I pluck my eyebrows every week or so. That's pretty much it.

I have oily skin that is prone to spots. Angry
Morning: sanctuary spa face wash in the shower. No7 beautiful skin microdermabrasion scrub every couple of days.
Sanctuary spa toner
Beautiful skin blemish solver serum
No7 protect and profect intense eye cream
Sanctuary spa moisturiser
Then make up - No7 BB cream, collection 2000 concealer (like touché éclat but cheap!) and collection 2000 loose powder. Bronzer, mascara, eyebrow pencil. Eyeshadow, eyeliner and false lashes if I'm going out.

Evening
Boots cucumber cleansing wipe
(Supposed to follow this with toner and No7 night cream, but hardly ever do!!! Best I can manage at night is to take the make up off!)

I get my eyebrows threaded every once in a while but I'm trying to get them thicker so not much. I shave legs and bikini and armpits when necessary and epilate my ridiculously hairy arms and chin Blush. Do my own pedicures and foot file every few days in the shower.

Daily
AM shower, wash and condition hair, blob of styling mousse, face wash, toner, moist if needed. Body oil or lotion on dry bits, I usually get lashes dyed at salon, lippie and a bit of foundation to hide blemishes if needed.
whitening toothpaste. Clarins body spray.

PM varies wildly - sometimes nothing, sometimes wipe a pad with micellar water on face followed by mineral water spray.

Weekly
detox shampoo followed by deep conditioner
face scrub on parts of face, clariosonic and face wash on other bits for a good deep clean.
tidy eyebrows, tend to chin hair and trim nostril hair.
tend lady garden with trimmer
shave pits/bikini line/hairy elbows and legs.
buff body with scrubs or rough sponge and body wash.
buff feet with pumice sponge
manicure (diy)
I have a pedi about once a month at a salon too.

My routine looks really practical written down but I do use nice products so it's a bit more pampering than it reads!

Sweetmotherfudger · 16/07/2014 07:32

Thanks everyone that's really useful. Think I'm going to invest in some nice make up and try and do a bit more body scrubbing, moisturising!

I'm trying to be better with nails/feet but my eyebrows are carnage. I might just get them done professionally and then try & keep on top of them.
